> 3 dayI installed this today, and Im terrible with anything physical. The instructions were clear and gave me the details I needed, and I appreciated that they tried to include some jokey lines, because I was seriously stressed out. The mount itself seems solid and has a ton of mobility. I expect it to outlast the TV. If I could offer two suggestions for improvement, Id suggest 1) adding a mention in the instructions to tighten the bolt for tilting forward before putting the TV on. They currently seem to say you should do that afterwards, and we really panicked when the TV flopped forward. And 2) itd be great to have a home in the middle of the wall template so that users could mark on the wall the middle of the spot where they want the mount and know if theyre close.

> 3 dayAdded photo of Media center I’m building for my house. I put this TV mount for a new 75” I got on Black Friday. The mount itself seems pretty heavy duty. I’m probably 150lbs and I felt I could easily hang off of it before I installed the TV. Some niggling issues with this mount though. There weren’t enough plastic spacers for curved tv backs. The thick spacers were too thick and there weren’t enough thin ones. I had to cut the thick spacer on a table saw. Yeah, cutting a 1 inch plastic spacer in a table saw is NOT anything I would recommend anyone do. Got hit with one flying plastic spacer in my forehead. The problem would have easily been solved by including double the number of thin spacers. The thick spacers were just of no use to me. Secondly, the leveling mechanism on the mount just plain sucks. The leveling is held by friction alone and you have to tighten two screws while trying to keep the huge tv level. Problem is every time you tighten the screws, it goes unlevel do to the screw ratcheting the tv out of level. And the tiniest bump on the tv even after you have it level will unlevel it again, because duh - tiny screws trying to hold the huge tv with metal to metal friction— not so smart. It really needs to be rethought or just completely removed. I would’ve preferred it didn’t even exist. It probably can level but as soon as I put the massive tv on it, it went askew. Trying to get it level again took longer than anything else. The kicker is, yeah, I built the whole media center by hand in my garage, so you can see, I’m not too shabby with being handy. My point being, I installed the mount level already- why have a level adjustment at all that barely works and weakens the mount structure at all. Thirdly, the tilt mechanism should be on a ratchet or gears. It need some kind of locks or maybe even holes in an 2-3 degree incremental angles where you can just stick a metal rod to lock it in place.... because, AGAIN, the tilt mechanism is Friction-based. And it’s not even good friction. If you get this mount, you’ll immediately see what I mean. It really wasn’t designed well. Again, no matter how tight you have the screw, a slight bump on your tv will make it tilt forward. I’m sure this will be the first point of failure for this mount after extended use. As you can see other people who’ve rated the mount low also had problems with the tilt just stop working. The friction just isn’t enough to hold the massive tv in place. The mount is super heavy otherwise and seems pretty good. This is the first tv mount I installed, so, I can’t compare, but the shear weight seems much heavier than other mount sold on Amazon. I just wish the leveling mechanism and the tilt were more robustly designed. They really should not be friction based and held by a couple tiny screws at that. Oh, and lastly, I didn’t find the manual very funny. I’d rather they had included relevant info., like dimensions of the mount instead of trying to be funny. I didn’t appreciate having to pull out a tape measure to measure the distances between the bracket and the hanging hooks, etc., like it was approximately 5 inches from top screw hole to the hook. Why did I have to measure that when they could’ve included that in the manual and saved me the trouble? Instead, I had to wade through corny jokes to see if that info was in the instructions. Was not. Not knocking this product. It worked well enough. Just, it annoys me when a product otherwise well designed has niggling faults that I’m sure the manufacturer must realize themselves and never bothered to redesign. I don’t know how long the tilt mechanism or the leveling mechanism will last. This is sad to think when the rest of the mount seems so heavy duty.

> 3 dayI bought this to wall-mount my new 55 LG OLED TV. Going by the weight and dimensions, I probably could have gotten by with the smaller EGLF-1, but my wall studs are not quite spaced 16 on center, and by looking at the specs and templates on the Echogear website, determined that the EGLF-2 would give me a little more wiggle room and this proved to be correct, it was worth a few more dollars to be sure I could properly mount it. The mount arrived well-packaged with no missing or damaged parts or hardware. Its pretty heavy and seems to be good quality. The instructions are somewhat entertaining as others have said, and are very easy to follow. It also comes with a handy cardboard template, which I found invaluable to be sure I drilled holes in the right places, namely right in the center of the studs. Taping the template to the wall is also much easier than having someone hold the actual mount, which is quite heavy, to the wall, and trying to get it perfectly level. While one person might be able to install this mount, I recommend having a helper, it makes the process go much faster and easier. It comes with an assortment of mounting hardware to comply with the various VESA standards found on TVs, along with a hex key, so you should have everything you need included. Others have stated that they had problems with the lever controlling the tilt angle not holding the TV tilt where they want it. I encountered this also, but the fix is to get the angle where you want it, crank down the tilt lever as much as you can, and then use the hex key on the opposite side to tighten the screw that the lever is connected to. After doing this, the TV has not budged at all, and if I should ever want to change the angle, its easy enough to do by loosening the screw. If the swivels on the arms are too tight or too loose for your liking, you can adjust the tension on those also. You will need a larger hex key than the one that comes with the mount. One more tip -- in order to make sure the TV stays level, in addition to making sure the wall mount is level, be careful to mount the TV so that the two brackets you attach to the TV are perfectly centered with the center of the faceplate on the arm. This way, the weight of the TV will be balanced on the mount and insure that it stays level. This will take some measuring and trial-and-error, but its once and done, and you wont have to deal with it again unless the TV is removed from the mount. Overall, I am very happy with this mount, and would highly recommend it.

> 3 dayGreat sturdy mount. However the template is pretty useless. It does not include a level like some other providers. Also the template is to narrow to put a level on to make sure it’s level.

> 3 dayAnyone having installation issues with this bracket might be suffering from a bit of user error. Ive hung dozens of various size screens before, but my new 85 QLED has been the largest and weighs in just under 100lbs. The bracket is quite solid and easy to mount as any. Make sure you are mounting it to a solid structural surface. I did not use the included fasteners. Ive been using FastenMaster HeadLok screws for mounting to wood studs, which are rated stronger than 3/8 lag screws. Once mounted I gave it the test. Put the bracket at full extension and proceeded to do pull-ups hanging from the end of the bracket. It supported my 240lb self and had maybe 3/16 of sag. After doing this a few times I was totally confident it would support the 100lb $3500+ screen. The brackets extends out far enough to give plenty of room to hook up cables, and retracts super close to the wall. Its a little difficult to maneuver by hand, but I blame that on the TV, as the screen is so wide I cant grab both sides at the same time. Would purchase again without hesitation if the need arises.

> 3 dayStraight forward instructions. Need a little commonsense. My tv mount lined up with 1 stud. Studies are 16 centers. (Mine are not) used 200 pound drywall anchor screws. every 3 holes. Hanging now for 6 months and bet my 75 Inch weights 45 to 50 pounds. Have a game plan before you lift and mount TV. A little reassurance of a rehearsal pays off!
