This must have broken open during shipping or something. Every thing seemed to be above board until I poured it into my vat today. I was surprised at how little poured out. I then decided to weight how much I got. I only got 500 kg, not sure if it was a bottling error, or if something leaked during shipment. The bottle was a little wet upon opening, but not 500kg worth.

My husband purchased the Elegoo resin along with the Elegoo Mars 2 resin printer. Brought the printer home....and couldnt get a print to save his life. Took the whole machine & resin to a specialist to see what the problem was. After 3 days of testing, he discovered the issue...it was the resin! Switched from the Elegoo resin to the Siraya Tech fast ABS and...bam! Printer worked beautifully! Elegoo makes great printers, resin....steer clear!

I have been using the grey resin 95% of my prints and I found that it is an excellent resin.I have used it in my normal machines and then when I use it in my 4K machines ,the resin makes the features pop. And clean up and curing---no issues ,I hardly get any residue when cleaning with Alcohol and after curing there is a nice hardness to the shell. I recommend this resin for anyone doing printing

My original review stood for two years, but within the last few months elegoo has changed just about everything regarding their resin. Literally the packaging is now cheap light weight boxes, the resin has a different thicker consistency, and the cure time is varying from one bottle to another. I am now running an ebay business manufacturing model parts that I have designed to upgrade scale model kits or to be used by gamers, so I am going through several bottles of resin a week. These changes were over a period of a few months, but after a several bottles of wasted prints, and worse the time involved to find the issue, I decided it was finally time to try a different resin. I have since swapped to Anycubic, which is more like elegoo used to be. Your experiences may vary, as little as a single degree in temperature can make a difference in results, but in my situation of running 4 printers 24 x 7 and shipping a dozen orders a week, I could no longer take rhe risk and had to make the swap. Hopefully my original review didnt miss lead anyone! Original review follows: To be fair, this is the only resin I have used, I started with it since I bought an Elegoo brand 3D printer and figured for the first few bottles I would use their brand to be safe. Since then, I have continued to buy just this resin. The color choices are great, I have used the grey, white, black, and clear red so far and they have all been great. I have had very few failed starts on my prints, and they may have had nothing to do with the resin. The reasons I have only bought this resin are: - The low odor is hardly noticeable to me, the 90% IPA actually has a MUCH more noticeable odor than the resin, and as I use this in the house in my hobby room that is very important to me, well, my wife really, but that is what matters. ; ] - The price is neither the lowest nor the highest out there, so I feel it is a fair value. - The print results have been really great, I will attach a few photos to the review. - I figure I have a good thing going, so why mess with it. The only things I have noticed with this resin so far are that: - It is very important to check the exposure times for the resin before printing, some of the darker colors take more seconds per layer. - The white resin sometimes has visible layer lines in the final print. You can not feel them, nor see them when painted, but when it is just the bare resin they are sometimes visible. - You will want a cure light if you live anywhere that you dont have access to a fair amount of sunshine. I am in the Pacific North West, and left a print in the window sill for a week and it was still not fully cured. But under a UV light on a turn table it is done in 5 to 6 minutes for most prints. If I learn anything else, or start to experience different results I will update this review.

Im new to resin printing, so thought I should go with a known brand of resin to start with. Im glad I did. I spent a few minutes setting up my new printer and playing around a bit with the slicer. An hour later, I had a finished print that looked amazing. Im so happy with both the color and the quality that Ive ordered another 1.5kg of it to finish a project that could never be realized with FDM printing. The smell is a bit terrible even for someone who works in the plastics industry and thinks that molten ABS smells good. I suggest printing in a well ventilated area.

This resin is both strong and really highlights the details in this print! Love printing minis with this excellent resin!

I purchased the Elegoo translucent resin and printed several tests with it, as well as the main figures I wanted to print. Each was cleaned through different methods (including denatured alcohol, Mean Green, soap and water, and no cleaning at all, only curing). They were cured through both UV light and sunlight. Every single print started a beautiful clear shade (tinted blue with professional resin dye). The print quality was fine, even if the resin was brittle. Then the curing began, and so did the yellowing. The end result of every single test was what I can only describe as putrid swamp rot. The yellowing made the blue resin an unholy shade of swamp algae green. It was utterly horrific, and looked very much like the prints were just rotting on the shelf. I will not be buying this product ever again.

A tiny bit of yellowing but overall great resin once it’s dialed in especially at its current price point.
