The product works exactly how it should. Other than the fact it wont fit in a standard 4x4 box the only complaint I have is the connectors. These things are cheap and the wire pulls out pretty easy. I took the end caps off and used some 12ga thhn wire and hardwired mine with the set screws inside.

Nice product. Instructions are clear and the item itself can be integrated easily. The working principle is also described very well.

Used the switches to control lamp fixtures that I built to provide indirect ambient lighting that combined with other sensors could follow my movement around the house at night. Worked quite well for my purpose although wish I could have found similar switches that would switch a larger load than 10 amps.

Good product

Two of the four units failed after a firmware update on the night of install, but the seller/manufacturer immediately shipped two replacement units as well as corrected the problem at the Firmware writers end to ensure that the problem would not be repeated. Great product and fantastic support. My advice for anyone else, do not do a final install until they are set up in your wifi network and updated just to be sure, having to swap out two units that were installed in ceilings was a bit of a pain, but not worth loss of a star when the workaround is simple.

I followed the instructions very carefully, but ultimately I gave up trying to get this switch to connect to WiFi. In setting up the app I was told I could sign in for a “free” account. However, the free account required that I input all my credit card information. Is this a scam? To further annoy me, during the periods where I was waiting for switch to connect with the app, I was presented with pop up ads to sell me other products. Very disappointed in this switch.

Was not what I thought it was My mistake

Bought the switch for a ceiling fan. Before I installed it all the way, I just dangled the switch off the proper wires. I downloaded the app for it, Smart Life. Tried one, then the other switch (At one point I had the output routed to the input and I thought maybe I blew the switch). Neither one could be recognised. I read the review saying to trash the directions, instead press front button for 10 seconds, release for 1 beat and repress for 5 more seconds to get it to work. We were on the same 2.4 gz. network, tried on my Android and wifes Iphone. Two DAYS we tried; we got fast blinks, slow green blinks, red and green blinking, red steady light, etc. You name it, we experienced it. The TWO sections of a total of 140 words that tell you how to get the software installed is about the WORST set of directions, EVER. Got nowhere. Then I read the review that said to download the TuyaSmart app. It is, basically, THE SAME APP! Except this one worked in like 5 seconds. Seriously, after all the hassles I thought, Well, this bombed on me too only to be astonished it said that it had worked and accepted the switch. Then we took the working switch temporarily down as we had to wire the fan up. In the course of events, I mixed up the switch I KNEW worked with one not yet installed. I wasnt positive they were swapped, mind you, so we proceeded anyway. Guess what? It was NOT the first switch. The other switch set up in like 4 seconds though! It works like a charm. The signal penetrates even under the canopy (which was a squeeze, but there was enough room). We got it up, my phone switched on fan, previously configured smart bulbs on the fans light kit turned on as when we asked them to. Then they turned off. . But, when the fan stopped via the wi-fi switch, I realized that to get the switch on again for the LIGHTS to be able to work, I would also end up turning the fan back on. My goal was to make both the fan and the light work via voice control (or phone!) A rather simple fix, I will just rewire the fans lights to they can come on when the switch is on via voice by bypassing the wi-fi switch and just allow the switch to work the fan. Under this scenario the wall switch stays on all the time. The lights have their own built in Alexa switch! Home automation IS NOT easy, but it is challenging and with each new device wired for voice, I get a little closer to my goal of 100% automation.

Requires 3rd party software and still would not pair with any router or network setup I tried. After my fourth attempt, I told Alexa to start a return on this item.
