Epsom salt is epsom salt and this is an amazing deal. A pound at the store is about $8 in Portland, OR and similar cities, so this purchase is a no brainer.

I initially heard about this product on a skincare blog I was looking into. Ive had eczema since I was a child, and my skin has been red and irritated from a recent flare-up. I placed an order through Amazon, received the bag of salt 2 days later, and after my very first soak in the Epsom salt bath, I noticed a significant improvement in my skin. The redness and dryness had decreased, and most of all, the itching subsided almost entirely. Before using the salt, it was difficult for me to sleep through the night, since I often woke myself up when I itched in my sleep. After just one 20-minute soak, my skin felt rejuvenated and soothed for the first time in months. I now take a salt bath almost every other day, and its a great way for me to de-stress and allow my body to detoxify. Magnesium sulfate is known to help improve sleep duration and quality, and it certainly did that for me. Instead of the 3-4 hours I was used to, I now get 6-8 hours of uninterrupted sleep every night. I also dont take supplements that often, so an Epsom salt bath was a great way for me to replenish magnesium levels in my body without having to take any vitamins or supplements. The salt itself dissolves fast and seems to be of a better quality than others on the market. Since Epsom salt has such a variety of uses (soothing for aches/pains, remedial for irritated/dry skin, a great source of magnesium, mild natural laxative) and because Epsoak has proven to be a quality manufacturer with high standards, I would definitely recommend this product and this brand to anyone whos interested in trying it out!

A cup of this in an average size tub is perfect for a salt bath. It doesnt have a scent, which I appreciate. Its a good value!

After being hospitalized for Ulcerative Colitis last August 2014, I learned that I can heal myself with Epsom Salt Baths. The healing has something to do with magnesium and methylation, and Ive read stuff about it, but I am not really able to distill it all here, but it is super-good for humans to do this. Of course it isnt the only way to heal, but it helps tremendously. So I started taking these baths last summer, and now, a year later, I am Superwoman! Well, maybe not, but I am healed. I am doing well. I still take a nightly bath, and I love it. And this EPSOAK EPSOM SALT is the best of all Ive tried. First -- best price anywhere. Second -- great salt that doesnt clump too much (occasionally under extreme humidity, but not usually, which is important) Third -- the bag is awesome, thick, doesnt tear, recluses with ease, and is liftable and movable Fourth -- it is so good for you -- anyone and everyone should take a salt bath before bed every night or almost every night if possible -- it helps you sleep! It helps you detox! It helps you live in a culture that is all about fast fast fast worry worry! And I, for one, am so done with that! Fifth Reason to Buy This Salt and Take Baths -- slipping into a bath at the end of a long day is such a boring thing to do even your children will ignore you! Six -- helps you catch up on reading or sudoku (I do not recommend knitting in the bath or using electronic devices) Seven -- it just feels great! Do it! AND it lasts me a month, and this way -- I mean buying it this way from these people, and they seem very nice, btw, I am not constantly running out. so it makes my shopping easier.

My lower body has started aching from daily walks and runs outside since gyms and fitness related stores have been closed. I started taking more epsom baths as a remedy for my sore muscles. So far I feel its helped minimize soreness. Its never going to go fully away, but I definitely feel much better. Ive also noticed my skin is a bit smoother in the process. I felt this product was a reasonable price for the amount you get. I prefer it unscented since Im not a fan of smelling a lavender (or other) after-odor on me when getting out of the tub. The bag isnt too hard for me to store under my sink. The resealable bag is sometimes tricky to tell if its sealed all the way. I keep a spare measuring cup and scoop the amount I use out of the bag. Im finished with my first bag and will be ordering another one.
