Got this for my first new PC build in 20 years. I knew Id need some serious wattage to handle the mother board, processor, 7200 rpm drive and graphics adapter. Heat kills and the hotter your PSU runs, the sooner itll die, so get bigger by 1/2 to 1/3 than you think youll need. Keeps the heat down which is quieter and will result in longer lasting PSU. I found the 850 Gold to be just what I needed. The modular design means I dont have cables I dont need, making cable management a breeze. Its so over-capable that I still have room to upgrade to a water-cooling setup later without running the risk of pushing the PSU. Arrived quickly, undamaged and as advertised.

Im not a tech nerd but I do love to dabble win the opportunity arises. This is super easy to install and is very quiet even when running. Sure beats the stock model that came with my dell.xps

Got this as a replacement for my older XPS 9100, which had a 525W original that finally died on me. Well before dying, it struggled to keep up with my hard drives and assorted peripherals. Im anticipating building a new PC in the next year so got this one for maximum flexibility and use. Couldnt be more pleased. Im a novice when it comes to PC building, though Ive replaced a number of components in my time. This has everything I needed, clearly labeled, super easily installed. Came with an assortment of cables and a bag to keep them in. Very quiet, and so small!

The first one lasted 2 1/2 years. The second one I bought July 27th and it died August 4th. Dont think I will be investing in another EGVA product.
