Its a great PSU, does everything you could want and need. However, when its fan kicks on, it is LOUD. When that fan ramps up, you can hear it from the next room over. Im very conscious on the temps in an air flow focused case. My system is entirely air cooled and with aggressive fan curves in order to keep my temps down. I do a thorough clean of my pc every month. Now with that being the case, my fans are still pretty quiet when theyre cranking while Im putting my pc through its paces. This PSU is so loud to the point its annoying/distracting. Im an EVGA fanboy, but this is to the point where i felt i needed to leave a review. Its too late for me to return it, but Im gonna be doing some research on jonnyguru(which i shouldve done) and find one to replace this. Maybe ill build an htpc where the tower isnt 2 feet from my ear. It works great, just loud. So TLDR, if noise isnt a problem, buy it. If it could be an issue, look elsewhere.

After seeing the reviews stating the problem with coil whine, I thought that it would just be hyperbole.

Unacceptable amount of coil whine or ticking noises. Unless ECO mode is on, the fan runs 100% of the time and isn’t quiet (does not affect ticking noise). Competing products do not have these issues. Would not recommend.

This is an excellent PSU. The cables all came neatly included, and they are very clean looking and feel quite sturdy. Would purchase again for sure.

This EVGA PSU is a solid buy. Very happy with it. No surprise, they have a history of great PSUs. It is silent when running under normal operation, which is great too. Fully modular design means no cluttered cables. It also comes with flat cables, and 4 modular VGA cables for newer GPU power connections.

Product works as described and as expected. I have EVGA PSUs in all of my desktops and have never had an issue with them. They work every time and dont break the bank when purchasing or operating daily. Highly recommend EVGA PSUs if you are in the market for a replacement or an upgrade.

Ordered one and installed and noticed that when windows is running, there is an intermittent noise similar to the sound an old hard drive makes when reading. When just running the BIOS setup, theres no noise whatsoever. EVGA just said to make sure nothing was getting in the fan (uh, duh...). Returned first one and ordered second one (I didnt want to have to undo all the power lead routing and securing Id already done). Second one makes same noise. Im going to just live with it for now, but Ill be looking at a a different manufacturer for the next one.

Everything you want or need to plug in and everything you may want later can be added instead of just taking up space in your case. Well built and enough power for most of your demanding GPUs.

I was very pleased when I unboxed my new Evga 850 watt power supply a few days ago. Im using it on a crypto rig that is supplying power to a graphic card connected to a optiplex 3010. The quality is great and the lines are nice and thick. I have had no issues to date and would recommend this to everyone!
