These are super nice filters. They are very well made. My previous filter were super cheap and after seeing these. I will not buy another cheap filter. My only complaint is I can hear them. The inlet is close to my room and they whistle pretty good. I think its more the small size I have,12x20x1, AC Furnace Air Filter, MPR 1900, Healthy Living Ultimate Allergen.

Was looking for new filters and am happy with these as they perform well and a good replacement for the original ones.

It is really substantial and the air does seems cleaner. I got this as opposed to the even denser one, just out of slight concern about the air flow. This one works great.

So far I really like this product. 2 filters per pack. It was delivered next day and for once the packaging wasn’t damaged, like my other filter always were. I had actually stopped my repeat delivery on an Amazon Choice filter because filter and packaging were always damaged. I had said no more filters from Amazon. But decided to try once more. tbos filters came in a stronger box than the lower priced brands or Amazon Choice brands and filter itself was not damaged at all. Very sturdy packaging and filter. It is a much thicker, sturdier filter than the Amazon Choice filters. The pleats are more dense and heavier weight. The cardboard covering is minimal and the wire mess seems stronger and all lines are straight. Compared to the off brand that was thinly pleated, no metal reinforcements and that were mostly covered with cardboard limiting airflow. This filter is also true to size. The off brand 12x12x1 had gaps along the edges and did not have a snug fit, letting dust and allergens pass through the gaps. This filter is a super snug fit with zero gaps. It actually fits the return opening very, very well. So far very pleased. Seems to be a better filter. Higher quality materials and a true to size fit. Worth the extra money so far. Don’t trust the off brands that offer more filters for less cost. *** I just installed it so the only reason it has 4 out of 5 stars right now is I haven’t experienced how well it works yet. I will update this review in about a month once it’s had time to battle some dust and allergens and also at 3 months to comment on its 3 mo use claim.

they always did the job

This stands up to and supports all its excellent reviews. I have had all kinds of filters but this is the best in the MERV 13 category: especially in Norcal where we are allergy alley! It also captures dust, mold spores and all types of nasty odors. I got curious after noticing that I was getting less coughing at night from my allergies. When I changed-out my last 3M 1900 after Christmas, held it up to sunlight and (see photo) was amazed at its capacity to trap minute particles, . That made me proud I spent the extra buck.

No plastic around the 2nd one but just keep in the box to keep the dust out. It came in a separate UPS box
