Despite the many nonsensical reviews here, I purchased 3Ms Filtrete 1900 Healthy Living Ultimate Allergen 2-Pack of filters for the first time after discovering that Consumer Reports magazine rated the filter Id been using one of the lowest it tested. (This Filtrete 1900 model was one of the highest rated, by the way.) The photo here shows what I received February 17, 2021: Two pristine 16x25x1 filters shrink-wrapped together and shipped in a sturdy outer cardboard box. No, they are not individually wrapped. There is no need for that. If youre worried about the second one becoming dusty, then keep it in the outer box until needed and/or run your vacuum cleaner more often. Regarding the many reviews from people complaining that they didnt receive the filter as-shown above, it seems many of them submitted reviews about different filters. 3M offers a ton of them in different sizes and filtration levels. I admit it took me quite a while on Amazon until I was certain Id located the specific filter recommended by CR magazine because there are so many variations, but the filters I ordered were exactly what I received. Anyway, as nerdy as it sounds, Im actually excited to note the difference in air quality and dust collection this new filter will provide within my house in the next 2-3 months, before I replace it with the second filter. As long as I see an improvement, Ill consider the greater-cost-per-filter worth it. Finally, I paid for these filters with my own dough and didnt receive any compensation/inducement to provide a positive review.

Our 2 month old baby is less stuffy when we leave the fan on. Im not sure why, but this filter seems to help a lot. They recommend replacement after 3 months. I think thats too soon. You could easily go longer.

These have the one of the best air pressure drop ratings of any of the pleated filters. They filter great too, we dont have as many allergy problems when we started using these.
