I dont even really remember how effective this was, I guess it was fine-- but the chemical scent is INCREDIBLY strong, very perfume-y and gave me a headache. And the scent took *forever* to diminish. My kitchen smelled just as strong for wash after wash. If you love your house to smell like cleaning chemicals, go for it, I know some people do actually like that; but for me, never again.

First time using Finishs dishwasher cleaner. I have used others and this is by far the best. My dishwasher is a GE Profile and plastic inside. Everything looked and smelled brand new.

We had calcium buildup in our GE dishwasher. The racks were difficult to slide out. The wheels squeaked and some stopped turning. There was a white film on the racks and surfaces. We used this product one time and our dishwasher looks and works new again! It’s disappointing that one Finish product creates the issue and another Finish product fixes it.

We just got a new dishwasher after almost a decade of the previous machine. The new dishwasher is kinda fancy and has a clean cycle. There is also an accompanying app to keep me in the know about the wash cycles, rinse aid level, and the need to clean the tub. This dishwasher cleaner is a huge help. It is very easy to use and it works! The typical suggestion for dishwasher cleaning is to clean the filter every 2 weeks and the tub every 30 days OR 30 washes. No more lime scale, no more sour smell, and no more worrying about caring for the expensive dishwasher. I have this product set up on a Subscribe and Save so I dont even pay attention to the date or the washes. When it comes--the next time the dishes are emptied I run a clean cycle. Mindless yet effective. I highly recommend.

Might need to perform more cleanings. Product seems to leave a noticeable film on dishes that can be felt when dishes are removed from dishwasher.

We have an older Kitchen Aid dishwasher in one house, with a stainless steel interior. I have been annoyed for years at the dried soap buildup around the door seal as well as on the top of the door. I honestly hadnt noticed any dullness to the stainless interior. At our other house, we have a newer Frigidaire dishwasher, with a plastic interior. The unit is less than a year old, and already, there was noticeable discoloration around the soap dispenser. On a lark, after reading some reviews here, I decided to give it a try on the Kitchen Aid, figuring that if it did a good job, Id then try it on the Frigidaire. I was amazed - with both interiors. The stainless is so bright, I hadnt realized how dull it had become. After one use, fully 75% of the buildup from the door seal was gone, and Im anticipating my next round to finish it off. The top of the door interior is also sparkling clean and clear of soap residue. In the Frigidaire, I was similarly pleased to see that all of the residue around the dispenser was gone after just the first application. Personally, I like the clean, fresh scent, though it is better (lighter, perhaps) with the stainless interior than with the plastic. My wife and daughters dont care for the scent, however, but nobody can argue about the cleaning results.

I was apprehensive about buying this particular container. It was big. After I received it, I put it in the “rinse” container, and washed my dishes. I LOVED how clean my dishes felt. I’d buy it again.

Good to know I can order these from Amazon only because they are hard to find in the stores most of the time. They really leave the dish washer smelling clean and fresh. I rated a 4 because it seems to be quite smaller than the ones they sell in the stores.
