This was a really great little tool. Compact and perfect for my hiking bag.

After a little practice, was able to get sparks and found it easy to use. Small enough to keep in a pocket. Comes w/ bonus whistle that I take on my trail walks for safety. You could put on a keychain or lanyard. If you’re an outdoorsy person, you won’t regret buying this tool!

It will definitely come in handy!! In an emergency it will really save you if you need it!! I cant wait to use this this coming summer!! We go camping alot and this will definitely come in handy!! Always good to be prepared you never know what will happen!! Its a very good quality metal and I love that its easy portable on a Keychain!! I wanted something in the case of an emergency and this is perfect! It is small, compact and fits anywhere. I tried it and it works great! Cant wait to use this campfire.

My son is new into Boy Scouts so I got it for his trips. It strikes easy and whistle is small but loud!! We have to find something to put the two pieces of the fire starter on you can get a good strike with the string that it came with. I’m glad we opened it before a trip. It came with a free gift too. He’s stoked!!

The ferro rod and striker produced good consistent sparks after I worked off the layer of paint. The sparks should be able to start a campfire even in significantly wet conditions. It does take some effort to create the sparks which is typical for a ferro rod. On the striker is a concave surface which has teeth and can saw some tinder to use. The whistle is loud and high frequency which would be helpful in locating someone in important circumstances. These tools are an easy carry due because they are light weight and have a sturdy build.

I am always out in the woods and I cannot tell how long I have wanted something, like this, to start camp fires. I am always searching for a lighter or matches in my gear, but don’t have to look for these, they’re on my keychain!! This item works perfectly fine and started a camp fire for me on the third strike!!

This was a great set for the price. The firestarter is amazing, got a fire started on the first try. The serrated edge is great for making wood shavings. The whistle was a bonus, but holy cow , its so LOUD, will definitely be carrying this along with me in case of emergencies
