This is a perfect compact fire starter. Product also comes with a whistle. Buyer understand when buying a strike set you must remove the coating on the stick to get a proper spark. I love I can just hook this to my pack and go.

This is the same one I had in camp, lasted me over 10 years until it was lost. Took me only 10 seconds to start from the first strike. Scrape a little off onto what youre trying to start, then strike it over top of it. The whistle is great, was more interested in the striker. Will be in my camping bag from now on.

This is a great fire starter for any hiking/survival kit youre putting together. Doesnt take up too much room and throws sparks really well. The whistle is a nice add on but certainly not the main attraction here. I had no trouble getting 3 fires started in not so great fire conditions.

I havent personally used this product yet as it is a gift for a prepper friend of mine. But I think that a firestarter is probably one of the best essentials you can add to a bugout bag or any prepping equipment you are putting together. This fires starter is just what I needed for my GO bag. Compact easy to use and easy to hold on to while using it. Made of sturdy material, strike a few times to get through the paint and you are good to go. The whistle is a nice bonus.
