This fire starter product is so great because it’s waterproof and can start a fire anywhere. Great for emergencies and while camping! Even comes with a little whistle too. And it’s not expensive at all

I havent personally used this product yet as it is a gift for a prepper friend of mine. But I think that a firestarter is probably one of the best essentials you can add to a bugout bag or any prepping equipment you are putting together. The package itself came quickly and was wrapped up good enough that there was no damage to the product or the box itself. I am always out in the woods and I cannot tell how long I have wanted something, like this, to start camp fires. I am always searching for a lighter or matches in my gear, but don’t have to look for these, they’re on my keychain!! Fire starter Fire Starter Stick with Striker Lanyard and Whistle Great addition to my camping kit. There is nothing worse then thinking you have matches and you are out. It will clip right on to a ring or carabiner so it doesnt get lost. I keep candles in my car, northern Michigan winters, and this would be a good addition to the glove box also. This would be good for camping, hiking, bug out kits, and indoor fireplaces. I was surprised to find a whistle included and it was a nice perk. There is also a small ruler on the striker and a bottle opener. Two strikes and there are sparks. I would have like to have had a quick set of instructions on exactly how and where to strike, but I figured it out. This is a handy little gadget to have for anyone. It will always come in handy.

This is the same one I had in camp, lasted me over 10 years until it was lost. Took me only 10 seconds to start from the first strike. Scrape a little off onto what youre trying to start, then strike it over top of it. The whistle is great, was more interested in the striker. Will be in my camping bag from now on.

My son loved playing Minecraft when he was younger. Now that he’s a teenager, I wanted to get him something that is both an homage and functional. I got him this for Christmas, and he loves it. It’s real flint and steel. Seeing him make a spark for real was awesome. Plus, this is a fantastic tool to have handy, no matter what. It works great.

My son loves this kit. It’s great for emergency survival. If you get lost in the woods or separated from your party you can blow the whistle. Theres a fire starter in case you find yourself in need of warmth as you end up spending more time than expected in the woods. I love that the can opening tool also contains a saw blade and a map scale on one side and a ruler on the other. This is a great way to measure his catch of fish. This set is very compact it can attach to your backpack and can literally save your life in an emergency.

This fire starter stick with striker is really neat. I am not a survivalist by any means but I like to watch the reality shows and always wanted to try to make my own fire. I just got some nice dry tinder together and got a spark pretty quick and eventually I got a fire going! Very exciting. Important to have if you go hiking or camping, just in case, nothing worse then thinking you had matches or a lighter and you dont, or you have matches but they get wet. The striker has a small ruler and the whistle can come in handy in emergencies. Also easy to clip onto my bag. I definitely recommend and will be buying one for a friend who is currently transforming his truck bed into a camper and plans to do a lot of camping this summer.....its a perfect gift.
