> 3 dayReasonable price for tried and true kids gift. Granted, it isnt as heavy as the one from my youth (never mind that era) which makes it easier to handle, maneuver, and potentially keep it from becoming a weapon while the tot flings it around (hahaha). The string attaching the drum stick is too short to get solid sound on xylophone - probably to avoid a strangulation hazard. I removed the drum stick from the string which allows for better sound. You can always reattach if tot wants to drag it around in the wheels. Nice gift!!

13-04-2025I bought for my granddaughter when she was 9 months old. She enjoyed it when someone would play it for her, but did not quite yet understand it. She would just bite on the hammer. Within a month of observing adults playing it for her, she learned to play it. She giggles whenever she hears it and has the best time. I wish the string attached to the hammer was about an inch longer, but other than that is a perfect toy.

11-04-2025For $6, this is a great buy. My 7 month old is obsessed with it and even accidentally bangs out some notes sometimes. The mallet is his favorite thing to chew on. The low note is definitely flat as others have noted, which is really irritating, but it serves its purpose.
