03-04-2025I was disappointed in this toy. I believe it’s been around a long time and you expect better from Fisher Price. It had very poor sound and the instrument to hit it with was so close to the toy that you could barely play it. Returned.

> 3 dayI got this for my youngest son for Christmas. He has loved it since he opened it. Even his nearly 3 year old brother adores it. At our family Christmas party, I got to see my youngest and his cousin hovering over it, trying to play with it together. The only issue that Ive noticed is the cord for the mallet is a little too short. My kids have gotten frustrated trying to hit the end pieces, because you can really only do it from one direction. They want to have more free motion with it. The only way to give them that free range of motion is to cut the cord, but then they lose the mallet. Thats the whole point of the cord. While that has been a little frustrating for them, they still love the toy, and it gets played with quite a bit in our house.

30-03-2025This is an okay toy. Our kids had the original Fisher-Price Xylophone and loved it, so we wanted to buy this for our grandson. The original one had a long pull string, and when you pulled it, little hammers on the bottom made music. This one does not have that, and the string is so short that its useless, especially since the stick you are supposed to play the xylophone with is attached to the string, so it makes it really hard to play the instrument. I cut the stick off, and that helped. But the stick is so long that there is a danger that your baby might choke if he has it in his mouth and falls forward. If the stick was shorter, it would be helpful. We took it away and gave him something shorter to hit the xylophone with. So this is fun, but not as good as the original, and I just wish it would play music when you pushed it along the floor.

> 3 dayHeh, heh, heh...the ultimate grandparents gift to a toddler! Its colorful, its extremely well-made as are all Fisher-Price toys & its loud :) I have vivid memories to this day of when my sons grandma and grandpa gave him his first Fisher-Price xylophone & it quickly became a favorite. It lasted through several other kids & I do believe he regifted it to a family member 25 yrs. later as soon as his own daughter grew out of it & into a keyboard. Now his son will have one, too. Sonny cant complain, as hes very big on family traditions. LOL

> 3 dayDaughter loves it, but the orange and green key sound a bit muffled / flat. I notice it every time I play something for her, but she doesn’t so I guess it’s okay.

> 3 dayPurchased this for my one-year old great-niece and she loved it! Her little hands can hold the wand and make beautiful music! The colors are bright and vibrant. She can entertain herself or an adoring audience!

> 3 dayI like the colors and look of this toy. Granddaughter likes it too. Although it can be loud when she plays with it, it is tolerable because of the musical notes. I agree with other reviews that string could be longer but am happy so far with this purchase.
