Greater than one weekGot this for my 1 year olds birthday and she loves it. It took her a few weeks to figure out how to hit it properly. Now shes jamming out. It makes a pleasant sound. Its fun for adults to play to. I have already figured out a few songs. My daughter is a chewer though and did chew off the paint on a few keys. Shes already quite adventurous and we have to make sure it doesnt turn into a skateboard or step.

> 3 dayThis xylophone is a great concept - the wand is attached to a string so it doesnt get lost. The string is too short though. It can only play a tune if its positioned just right. Too hard for a toddler to figure out. Maybe just an inch or two more in length and it would be perfect. Now, pretty useless.

Greater than one weekBought this for my 8 month old son. I know this product is recommended for 18 months plus, however, I was anxious to find out if my first born was a prodigy. He was not. This product is of good quality and sound. The string that connects the mallet is of decent length for a child to help reduce tangling and keeping the mallet from getting lost, but can be hindering to an adult that is trying to express themselves musically. My child primarily keeps the mallet in his mouth and once in a while accidentally lets it drop on the xylophone causing it to make sounds. I, on the other hand, have learned Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star and Black Sabbaths Iron Man.

> 3 dayBought this for my 6 month old. Yes i know its rated for 18+months, but I wanted to start on some musical skills early. She just wants to chew the stick for now but she is litsening and paying attention when we play. The product is as described. Worth buying. Only thing is I wish the string was longer or one that retracts when need be.
