> 3 dayHeavier than some I was looking at but I figured Fluance knows what theyre doing and so got it because it matched my systems branding and, maybe, mechanical performance. The record takes a second to get up to speed on my Fluance player but thats usually passed before the music starts, depending on my needle placement. Its a record weight and there isnt much to say, really. It seems to have made a noticeable difference on my older or more warped LPs but not, so much, on my newer LPs. The Fluance record weight is more expensive than similar products but I dont regret my purchase, at all.

> 3 dayIm very happy with my purchase. This fits my RT85 and looks great. The rubber texture feels nice and the felt bottom wont scratch anything. For a hunk of metal it is pricey but compared to others I tried this is the best for the money. It does a great job at flattening warped records too.

> 3 dayIt’s well-made and well-finished . Be careful to handle it to preventing vinyl records from incidental injury .

Greater than one weekA 1 1/2 lb weight… Fluancs branding is barely recognizable and and marred. Expensive for what you get..

> 3 dayIt’s a prohibitively expensive hockey puck with a hole drilled into its center. And it’s not even autographed by Wayne Gretzky or anyone. Nonetheless, I never play a record on my RT85 without it. What I think makes this hockey puck more expensive than most is the fact that it seems perfectly weighted and balanced to spin on a vinyl. I have no evidence this actually helps, but it makes sense to me why it would. If it does to you, too, you might enjoy it.

> 3 dayYoull notice if you list reviews by recent, that many reviews, are calling out a bad batch of these record weights. It would seem all of the black models are poorly produced in this batch. Hopefully future batches will get back on track and correct these flaws. Mine like all the others has an uneven finish, and the Fluance name is only partially visible. I got lucky in the sense that I didnt have the other common problems that are showing up. The protective fell bottom is securely stuck on, and correctly centered. Also, mine exhibits no visible wobble. That means it is correctly drilled for its center hole. Many appear to be off center. Given the cosmetic blemish is relatively minor on mine (kinda looks like Ive been using it a couple of years), I decided to keep it. It gives it a bit of warm character. It works great, and you can hear how the music tightens up when used on a system with an acrylic platter (or acrylic platter mat). Its almost impossible to find a low profile weight with this much mass, that doesnt cost a couple of hundred bucks. So I think its worth the gamble in ordering one to see if you get a keeper or have to exchange it until you do. Fluance needs to do a recall of these and demand a free couple of batches from whomever is making these for them. It makes Fluance look bad because they are selling a visibly bad looking product, and they are heavy into the lifestyle look with their whole catalog. This just really defeats a good deal of money and effort they spend on promoting that look.
