> 3 dayI got this to use on my old dual turntable to reduce vibrations coming through my records into the stylus. It works excellently. It is very heavy and does its job perfectly.

> 3 dayIt’s a fine looking piece of machined metal that “stabilizes?” your lp. At least the warped ones will see a possible benefit. Seems somewhat like turntable jewelry.

> 3 dayYoull notice if you list reviews by recent, that many reviews, are calling out a bad batch of these record weights. It would seem all of the black models are poorly produced in this batch. Hopefully future batches will get back on track and correct these flaws. Mine like all the others has an uneven finish, and the Fluance name is only partially visible. I got lucky in the sense that I didnt have the other common problems that are showing up. The protective fell bottom is securely stuck on, and correctly centered. Also, mine exhibits no visible wobble. That means it is correctly drilled for its center hole. Many appear to be off center. Given the cosmetic blemish is relatively minor on mine (kinda looks like Ive been using it a couple of years), I decided to keep it. It gives it a bit of warm character. It works great, and you can hear how the music tightens up when used on a system with an acrylic platter (or acrylic platter mat). Its almost impossible to find a low profile weight with this much mass, that doesnt cost a couple of hundred bucks. So I think its worth the gamble in ordering one to see if you get a keeper or have to exchange it until you do. Fluance needs to do a recall of these and demand a free couple of batches from whomever is making these for them. It makes Fluance look bad because they are selling a visibly bad looking product, and they are heavy into the lifestyle look with their whole catalog. This just really defeats a good deal of money and effort they spend on promoting that look.

> 3 dayI can see why some reviews are complaining about it bending the record up and away from the platter. Its very heavy and I tested with a rubber platter mat on my acrylic platter. Did the same thing as others have mentioned. Is imagine it will do the same thing with any soft platter. However with mat removed and the record directly on the acrylic platter it helped tremendously with a couple records that are slightly warped.

> 3 dayDont even try having a turntable with an acrylic platter without a record weight. Youll scratch your records up because theyll slide all over the place youve got to hold it down and youve got to hold it in place with a record weight if youre using a higher and turntable. You just need the stability it is obvious it is noticeable dont even think twice about it just get this thing because this is the perfect weight. Its not too late and its not too heavy. It has felt on the bottom so that the label doesnt get scratched up. Its worth every penny. Just get it.
