> 3 dayHeavier than some I was looking at but I figured Fluance knows what theyre doing and so got it because it matched my systems branding and, maybe, mechanical performance. The record takes a second to get up to speed on my Fluance player but thats usually passed before the music starts, depending on my needle placement. Its a record weight and there isnt much to say, really. It seems to have made a noticeable difference on my older or more warped LPs but not, so much, on my newer LPs. The Fluance record weight is more expensive than similar products but I dont regret my purchase, at all.

> 3 dayI can see why some reviews are complaining about it bending the record up and away from the platter. Its very heavy and I tested with a rubber platter mat on my acrylic platter. Did the same thing as others have mentioned. Is imagine it will do the same thing with any soft platter. However with mat removed and the record directly on the acrylic platter it helped tremendously with a couple records that are slightly warped.

A Person of Interest
> 3 dayI grew up with vinyl. Over the past decade, many of the new records Ive purchased have been warped, which really bugs me, so after buying a Fluance RT85, I found out they make a record weight that supposedly helps flatten warped records. In short: it doesnt. I tried it out on half a dozen warped records, from slightly warped to very warped, and it DID NOT flatten any of them. This Fluance weight actually weighted the center down so much it LIFTED THE EDGE OFF THE PLATTER of many records. It taco bowled them! See My Photos. I like how heavy it is, but beyond the tactile and aesthetic element, I dont see anything of value. In fact, I think making the record edge lift like it does probably makes the needle ride at an angle in the grooves, which would not be a good thing. Also, it is not centered. When I removed it from the box the hole looked off center. After measuring the hole to the edge with calipers, I found it was definitely not centered. The company offered to give me a few bucks back to keep the out-of-round weight, but I had to email them several more times for a week or two before they actually did anything they said they would.

> 3 dayAfter purchasing my Fluance RT85 turntable I began the search for a record weight stabilizer. After many hours of searching, I decided to go with the Fluance. The same company that made my turntable. Quick shipping and works like a charm. I have never heard my vinyl play so clearly. Perfect compliment to your turntable.

> 3 dayThis record weight is nice and a must have if you have an RT82-85 it really does flatten warp albums I had a slightly warped Phil Collins and it literally instead of repeating in the same spot on the record it literally didn’t repeat and played through also there was a slight improvement in sound I would highly recommend this to everyone if you own the RT82-RT85
