Fluke 233 Remote Display Multimeter

> 24 hourI am a ASE master Tech and I love this meter. I have had it now for about a year and it gets used every day and I am still using the original batteries. Some have reviews that say the batteries leak and destroy the meter, but I only put the BEST batteries on the market in this meter so I hope I do not ever have that problem. Also I was very weary about buying this meter because of so many people say that it has a battery draw issue on the batterys but again I have never experienced this.

> 24 hourIve read all the reviews, and I had had the same issues with the batteries. I called Fluke and they say that it is a known issue and they are fixing them. I have had mine for about 4 years and use it almost daily. There have been occurrences where the display would not turn on, and when I opened the battery compartment, my batteries were splitting on the verge of leaking. I caught this twice and was able to clean it out without any residual damage. Hopefully Fluke has the fix needed to solve this issue. With the battery issue being addressed by Fluke, I see no problems in the future. As long as the battery issue is corrected, I would definitely buy this meter again.

> 24 hourDont buy, like the reviews say. I got mine and its a pain in the ass. If you dont remove the batteries after every use... Itll drain them, after the batteries leak, they corrode the board and its junk. You can clean the board or get used to removing the batteries all the time. Im a mechanic and I use my meter almost 5 days a week so I thought Id be fine, Im wrong.... Also got a klein meter, its better because it works, but reads super slow, so Im out of pocket about 600 with pouches to carry them in and should of got the damn 87v from fluke. Would if been better off, but now I know about other junk out there.

> 24 hourThe meter and its features are great, I used it at home a few times and use it at work repairing cars. I have had this meter 2 years now, its held up very well, but after today its GONE, I traded it in and bought a Fluke 88. I am sick and tired of having to pull and install the batteries each time I use the meter! You have to remove the batteries from the meter and display after using meter or they will be dead in a day or 2, even if you use the meter regularly, the batteries dont last. its a shame.... Sounds petty, just swap batteries and save money from getting a new meter, but Ive had it.

> 24 hourFantastic meter, thought I would ocationally use the detachable display but I use it all the time. This thing is the cats meow. The leads that came with it were kind of cheap though, recommend silicone leads.

> 24 hourI just purchased this DMM a few days ago. The wireless function is a lifesaver. I have been employed by a bus (Touring Coach) dealership for the past 14 years, as a service technician (mostly electrical/electronic circuit troubleshooting and tracing.
