Funko Pop! Advent Calendar: Marvel - Holiday, Multicolor, One Size

I purchased this for my daughter for christmas, but my husband and I love Marvel too so we were all looking forward to seeing what she would get each day. Im so disappointed in the number of duplicates! As we still have a few days to go the final count is still TBD, but so far we have 4 exact duplicates, and 3 glitter version duplicates so thats only 14 unique figures out of 21, or 1/3 duplicates. NOT COOL for the cost, especially when (as others have noted) the box states 24 UNIQUE POPS!!!! The only silver lining is that my daughter is letting me keep the duplicates. However my biggest disappointment is there is NO DR STRANGE!!!!! He is my favorite character, I am super bummed.

This was a fun gift to my teenager, but I am disappointed that three different days were complete repeats. We did give them to her friend who was super excited to get them, but for the cost of this product, there should have been no disappointing repeats. When I say repeats, I dont just mean the same character, I mean the exact same doll. Three different dolls had identical twins.

If I spent $60 on this I would say even less value for money, but I got it 50% off. My biggest reason for the review is the many and disappointing duplicates. Some were the same, but with glitter while others were exactly the same. It feels like I was cheated on 6 days! I have my niece a similar set for Harry Potter and she has no duplicates.

Some of the characters were in the calendar more than once which was they only negative for my son. Otherwise he loved it.

This is a cute idea but we were disappointed by two things. First, way too many duplicates or figures that look like another day but they just added glitter. I’ve done other figurine advent calendars and never got a dupe. There is enough character variety in the MCU that dupes aren’t necessary unless the designers just got lazy. Second, half the figures are so top heavy they can’t stand up in their own. Hard to display these unless you build a stand/lean-to to prop the figures up on. Next year I will be avoiding this style of advent calendar.

Many duplicates! For being Marvel I expected way more variety. Would not buy again. Missing two from the pic (one was the iron man with the plastic stand (another duplicate and on the bottom left of pic) and a spider man (as if throwing web from hand). Fun for advent but disappointed with so many of the same character and identical ones too.

*EDIT!* Some of the recent reviews with pictures have shown me that I got the SAME 3 SETS of duplicates as others. There was one that mentioned not minding the duplicates and in a mystery sort of purchase I would agree, but for the price AND with the description specifying 24 UNIQUE figures, Im super disappointed and not looking to purchase any more mystery sets for my mom or niece. The glitter ones that come with a stand to have them flying dont even fit with the glitter blocking the connection point so they cant even stand up! Got this to countdown to Winter Break with my students and today’s was a sparkly version of one from the first week. I decided to look ahead (opening the side-the red bags are see through) and even worse than minor variations (like gingerbread Cpt. Marvel in different outfits) there are straight up duplicates!! I can understand in mystery boxes and stuff getting 2 of the same across a couple boxes but in ONE countdown box for over $40????…there’s at least 2 pairs that are the same!!! And I can’t just spin it as a slight variation because of the multiverse! I’m disappointed as a Funko and Marvel fan, I’m just hoping the kids will forget the versions that come up again later. So much for keeping an ongoing community collection! Not worth it.

Love the idea. My son was extremely excited to open and get a character each day however there are duplicates which significantly dropped his excitement on many occasions. We received 2 of the same exact Grout, 2 Grouts with a star on the head which look just like the previously mentioned duplicate one only slightly different with the star, leaving us to have 4 very similar figures. We also got 2 Captain America snowmen one has glitter so only slightly different and 2 Ironman gingerbread guys, 2 scarlet gingerbreads one with glitter…again only slightly different. It is a super idea and fun but my son is 5 and he’s very annoyed that he’s got doubles and I’m equally annoyed because this thing was fairly pricey especially if you get the same things on multiple occasions. There are characters that were created in a more normal decor and then with a holiday twist and some could have at least been done more or done differently like made as snowmen or something a little more than throwing some glitter on it. Just kinda disappointed

I loved it! Only thing is that it repeated some :( there’s so many they could’ve included.

These are cute and good quality but a few are essentially the same figurine. E.g. 2 Groots with a star, one translucent, one not.
