> 3 dayI really like this tester. I have many outlets mounted upside down and this tester allows you to read the results on BOTH sides unlike some others on the market. Recommend!

> 3 dayI have literal owned over a dozen of these. They work great, are easy to read, and most importantly are the easiest I found that insert into the TR (tamper resistant) outlets. I am a home inspector so I use this on a daily basis, so over 100 times a day 5 days a week for work. They last anywhere between 2-6 months at most. They are cheap enough but carry several in my bag since I never know when it will fail. So good for the homeowner but not so good for professional daily use.

> 3 dayWorks great. Price is not bad either. The only drawback is with the indicators lights. But it does not take a rocket scientist to figure it out.

> 3 dayGreat product for the price. Allowed me to test my new home and noticed that there were a few outlets not working. Got them fixed by the builder and wouldnt have noticed it without this product. This has the GFCI tester as well and that too worked as expected. Easy to read and easy to use and what one would expect from such a product.

> 3 dayQuick read on an electrical socket if ever in doubt. The LEDs (see product picture) tell the rest of the story. So easy to use!

> 3 dayThis is good for a quick basic check of your outlets. Lights are easy to see and the reference guide to the meanings of the lights is right on the device. It was able to accurately detect an issue I had with some old wiring. Depending on your issue you may still need a multimeter and/or a licensed electrician.

> 3 dayNot that it got the most love and care but after a few uses the ground prong snapped off in the outlet. But I fished it out and it fit snugly so I gave it a try and it worked. Then I added a dab of super glue and its been fine. Wish theyd make these audible with a non-annoying sound so you didnt need to walk back and look if testing a circuit (dont tell me a radio as the convenience is its small). That would also help find it when you (well, I) leave it somewhere.

21-11-2024This tool has helped reinforce the fact that I have no clue what Im doing when it comes to electrical work! This is a must for DYIers like myself. I used this tool to confirm I royally screwed up the grounding for all the outlets in my house when I changed them to 3 prong outlets.

> 3 dayI have a bathroom outlet that is not a trippable GFCI and I had no way of knowing if it was wired in series with a GFCI and thus protected. I plugged the tester into the outlet, pressed the test button and sure enough the outlet became dead. I thought I just had to locate the primary GFCI and reset it. But when it would not reset I went to the panel The test button had also tripped a breaker in the panel. I recycled the breaker and then, of course, was able to reset the GFCI which in turn powered up the outlet I was questioning. So, yes, it did exactly what I wanted and saved me from unnecessarily replacing the outlet in question with a GFCI.
