Product failed after about 1 hour of service on 3 uses. Motor blows breakers in electric box. There is no support other than ordering wearable parts.

I purchased this saw for my wife in March of 2013 but she didnt use it until two days ago, June 27, 2017. Time spent unused shouldnt have had a negative effect on the saw. Much to my wifes disappointment the motor failed after about two hours of use. The cost of a new motor is about $157.00. Weve contacted the manufacturer but have not heard back from them yet. This may be a freek occurance but I wanted buyers to be aware of the failure.

This is my second Taurus ring saw, as I work in stain glass. Not cheap, but darn, you will love it and wouldnt go to any other model.

I use the Taurus 3 for stained glass and I love it. A little after a month the manufacturers ring broke and I had to replace it. I found a pretty cheap alternative on Amazon that arrived the next day. Also, the red grommets on the stabilizer foot get chewed up pretty quickly. Also found a 10 pack of the grommets on Amazon, but they are OEM and expensive. Overall, really great saw if you dont mind replacing parts and performing maintenance.

Bought this to replace an old Gryphon, wow what a difference. You can go in any direction and the cuts are always perfect.

I am disgusted with this saw. Ive gotten very little use out of it without it having problems. After just a few hours use one of the foot stabilizer grommets tore right through. I called Gemini and they reluctantly offered to send a grommet. They sent the wrong one! I got one from a friend and started using it again. Today I tried using it to cut through some thick glass and after just 2 cuts the blade locked up. I havent taken it apart but I assume the blade is broken and will have to be replaced. For a saw this expensive Im getting almost no use from it. I feel like its very delicate and will be able to be used only to do thin glass pieces. I had hoped it would be a workhorse. I guess I will have to buy another saw to do the things it cant do. I wish Id known before I bought it. Ive gotten no customer service from the company I bought it from and poor service from Gemini. Very unhappy.

I dont know how Ive made it this far, only cutting glass by hand. This saw is opening up so many ideas.

This is meant for cutting glass. I was cutting single layers, very slowly and cuts were not precise. Also, I was good about keeping the blade and reservoir filled with water and still the motor gave out with barely any use. Another glassworker I know switched to a tile saw. This saw is promoted as being useful for glass artists, but sadly it is not heavy duty.at all.
