Retayne is a great product. I use it for my quilting cotton to be sure it doesnt bleed or fade. I have also used it on clothes. Love it.

The solution was delivered in an unsealed bottled that had been placed inside the equivalent of a large sealing sandwich bag. When the box was opened, and I pulled out the bag with the bottle in it, there were several ounces of fluid inside the bag. After using the Retayne on a dark dyed (blue) material, there was still bleeding after the wash. The material I was working with was thick so it may be more effective on a thin fabric. You can feel where it seals some of the fabric. It feels almost waxy.

The cap cracked and the contents leaked during shipping. Fortunately, only about an ounce was lost which leaves me enough for my project. You could have avoided this by sealing the bottle with a tamper - proof seal under the cap.

This is wonderful! I use a lot of fabric and it ALWAYS runs! I dont completely follow the directs but I love this stuff. I wash the batiks first with a color catcher then I wash again with Retayne! I wash a third time with a color catcher and it comes out CLEAN every time!! Ive recommended this stuff to all my quilting friends and anyone else who uses fabric alot! I dont worry about buying black or red fabric anymore either because I know the Retain will keep it from running onto lighter color in my quilts!
