Google Nest Cam Weatherproof Cable for Nest Cam (Battery) Only - 720p -Snow - 5m

Cable does not work. I bought it in November but because of the snow, I didnt unhook my cameras until the weather became better. I assumed it will work. Even plug in, it does not work. It is pretty expensive. I hope the manufacturer sends me a replacement that works. I will keep you updated if that happens.

It’s definitely a premium cable. Long enough to connect the camera to the height needed. Cable that comes with the camera is basically to charge the camera. Not meant to be used for 24 hours use.

I thought it was a poor redesign, adding a power cable to a battery-operated device just to use AC. The original, I have one, was just hard wired no battery. The new version is now battery driven; you add a hard wire to use AC power. I understand that battery is a now a backup backup... the design should have been to keep it a hardwired device and add a battery to it. We use the camera for our Cottage security.

For a long time, I wondered why is it that my Nest camera was not charging. It turned out that I plugged it in backward. The connector below the camera can be easily plugged in backward and it wont charge. The connector & the camera should have a key such that the user can only plug it in one way only. This is Nest bad mechanical design. Seller rating is a 5, but Nest Cam mechanical design is 2.

Original , was using the solar one but was unable to use certain features like the noise and all that.... honestly not impressed with the nest/google integration , even tho they are sold as nest, the dont work on the nest app.... so what I did not want happened have to use two different apps for the products, i know I went off topic, but the cable is original and long enough .

Not sure what the deal is but I recieved a cable with no end and a USB adapter. (Possibly packaged wrong QC issue) Nothinh like the pictured item. Will return and try again

Honestly can’t say anything bad about this cable. Works well and is a good price.

Does the job but an expensive way wrong length solution when all that is needed is a 2m long cable. Need an intermediate size between the available 1 and 5m versions

This cable does exactly what it was designed to do, power the Nest Cam so that you don’t need to keep charging it all the time. With that being said, it is just a standard power cable so charging nearly $40 for it is a bit ridiculous.
