I used this to add to the top of my formal pond liner, that had shrunken down about 2 over the last 6 years. The liner is regular pond liner, and is somewhat stiff/crispy, but its in a concrete block pond, so I think I can get a few more years out of it. I really only needed 2 at the top, but decided to use the entire 4 width of the tape. I cut each side to the size I needed + 2. I then rolled it up, peeled back the protective sheet as I went, about 4 at a time. These were 5.2 long strips, which was somewhat intimidating when you know you cannot reposition. And you cant. Once its on, its on. I cleaned the liner first, removing any algae, and then cleaning off again with alcohol before I put the tape on. If you figure out how to unroll and remove backing at the same time, as I did, this was an easy job. The tape is holding very well, and I cannot imagine the reviewers who say the backing was dry. No way. They must not have removed the backing. The edge of the tape has a visible line of adhesive, but its under the waterline so I dont care. Anyway, time will tell if it last. But it will probably outlive the liner. Good job, Gorilla.

This tape in simply great. I read a review that said it won’t stick. That’s just wrong, if you prepare the surface. I repaired a large curbside garbage can lids. Had a twenty plus in crack from hinge forward. I removed the duct tape repair and used goo gone to remove sticky remnants then cleaned with rubbing alcohol. Far exceeded my expectations. There is no way that tape will come off. This stuff is just Awesome!

Imagine you are camping. The fireplace is crackling, and you are toasty warm inside your camper while it is 40 degrees outside and mist / raining sideways outside because the wind is howling. Now imagine your son walks into the main area of your 5-er and states: Ha, I bet someone in the campground has a leak and it is raining in on them right now. Fast forward 15 minutes and we realize that one of our rooftop fan lids shattered when we were pulling into the campground because it is now raining into our camper. My son and I grabbed the Gorilla tape and climbed onto the roof to make the repairs. Had to use a sharp knife to cut the tape, but we were ablr to fix the shattered lid in the rain, it was amazing. Tape held so well, it made replacing the lid difficult when we got home from our trip.

Good quality tape. Stuck it uniformly over 2 side doors (cause I had some scratches), looks good.

I was just trying to repair a leaking water fountain after trying all sorts of other products. I applied the tape all over with overlapping layers. It was easy to use and adhered well, but did not eliminate the leak.

Product stopped my sink leak for about 15 minutes and then it came back, I followed the instructions perfectly. Unfortunately this product will not work for all leaks and it is extremely difficult to remove, almost like a putty.
