Greater than one weekI used this to add to the top of my formal pond liner, that had shrunken down about 2 over the last 6 years. The liner is regular pond liner, and is somewhat stiff/crispy, but its in a concrete block pond, so I think I can get a few more years out of it. I really only needed 2 at the top, but decided to use the entire 4 width of the tape. I cut each side to the size I needed + 2. I then rolled it up, peeled back the protective sheet as I went, about 4 at a time. These were 5.2 long strips, which was somewhat intimidating when you know you cannot reposition. And you cant. Once its on, its on. I cleaned the liner first, removing any algae, and then cleaning off again with alcohol before I put the tape on. If you figure out how to unroll and remove backing at the same time, as I did, this was an easy job. The tape is holding very well, and I cannot imagine the reviewers who say the backing was dry. No way. They must not have removed the backing. The edge of the tape has a visible line of adhesive, but its under the waterline so I dont care. Anyway, time will tell if it last. But it will probably outlive the liner. Good job, Gorilla.

> 3 dayNot as strong as they advertise and it’s possible you’ll need layers of this tape, depending on your application. Not worth it

> 3 dayThis material is about the thickness of three Gorilla Tape pieces stuck back to back. The adhesive is much stronger. Make sure you get it where you want it, because you will have trouble getting it off. Good for repairing tarps, grill covers, etc. I used it to patch some vapor barrier under my house. I wanted something that wouldn’t curl up on the edges. I got it.

> 3 dayIf you apply it to a DRY surface, then it gets wet, it will hold. You cannot apply it to a surface that is already wet / underwater. It will absolutely not stick.
