Super sticky, scissors used required cleaning afterward. Followed dirxns and rounded the corners of each piece, and covered both sides of the tear as much as i could with the cover already installed. Looks like black duct tape but the pool cover gets leaves all over it anyway, so no big deal. I’ve stepped on it myself and not felt it give; I weigh 145 with a winter coat on. 50lb dog has not fallen through. Perfect.

The text beyond the line is the review from a different reviewer named Mark from June 21, 2022. I literally screenshot his review so I could repair my own 1,200 gallon vinyl pool. I had only one tiny hole spurting water on the seam of the side and the bottom. I couldn’t find the patch that came with the pool, so I was hoping for some sort of solution. So far, after one week, so good! I will add, be conscious about where you set the tape roll when not in use. It is so sticky that you’ll ruin any paper or susceptible materials with the adhesion of the side of the tape. ______________________________________________ Okay, so this is Gorilla Tape. Gorilla tape works, we all know this. But what about underwater? So my brand spanking new vinyl liner pool decides to spring not one, not two, but three leaks on its first fill up. 3000 gallons of water to fill this thing up, I wasnt going to empty it! I live in a desert, I felt guilty enough filling it up, emptying it out to fix a hole and then refilling, no way. So I researched a ton of different patches and came across this product here on Amazon. The reviews were weird. Yes, I read them just like you are doing now. Some say it didnt stick at all? Another says it comes off the roll really loose. Here is the scoop - there is an error on the directions for this tape. So, lets do two things here together - One, know you are not wasting your time, get this product. Right now, dont waste time! Two, read below on a couple of important but easy steps on using it. 1) The directions tell you to cut off the piece you want and then round the corners. Here is something important: Do NOT - guys, read that again - do NOT - use your wifes good scissors or the ones in your knife rack. Dont do it guys. The residue left behind was like crazy glue. It sticks! Your best bet is using a decent pair of scissors and making your cuts in one smooth motion. This will prevent goo from getting on your scissors. 2) AFTER cutting, get to where you need to place the tape and then REMOVE the transparent liner over the sticky part of the tape. The directions never tell you to remove this liner! Well, to those people with the negative reviews, they didnt remove the liner. Once you remove it, watch out - it is sticky as can be! Try not to touch the sticky part!! We took the tape, sticky exposed, went underwater, and stuck that bad boy right where the pool was leaking. Pressed all the air out, pressed down on the edges, then just stood on it for a few minutes. Did this for all three holes and not one has leaked again. Okay, so it isnt as pretty as some of the other patches, it is a big black piece of tape. But it works and works fast and it is easy. Buy with confidence.

I am using this to waterproof a door threshold that has asphalt shingles lapped under it. The asphalt shingles cracked under foot traffic. So I am using this to lay over the asphalt and tuck under the metal door threshold to fix a water leak problem. (its a storage space in a two story car garage, and this area gets rain water when it blows against the door.). what I had to do, to make this work is remove the top layer of sand embedded in the asphalt shingles so this tape will lay flat with no voids and all the edges will hold down. This was much cheaper to fix a problem that trying to replace the asphalt shinges (the previous owner glued them down). I used a 6 inch metal scraper to remove the surface sand in the asphalt under the shingles were flat. Then I applied this gorilla patch tape. For extra grab, I used a heat gun while rolling a 6 metal pipe (like a bread roller), starting from center and working out toward the edges. This really helped the adhesives lock into the asphalt. I expect this repair to fix a water leak that was going to eventually cause lots of problems with the framing under the door threshold. Not bad for less than 20 bucks. good stuff

Had couple couple holes in my pond liner and very happy with the product so far. Most important as it was mentioned in other reviews. The grey side is the sticky part and has a clear lining and cannot be peeled by your finger and will need a knife with a sharp point to lift the clear part. Once I peel a very small portion, I would recommend laying it to the liner and then press and peel this way it doesnt bubble under it. If you peel the entire piece and misplace it in any way, you will not be able to remove it! Again it’s extremely sticky, works great and highly recommend it! Good Luck!

Put it over a gapping threshold from a covered porch to a sunroom. Keeps water out. Great fix in a bind.

It seems to work, but not instantly. That’s the Pro part. The con is that once you have a piece off, not an easy task in itself, you will fight to pick up an edge of the plastic that you must peel off. It is devilishly sticky and will certainly spread to nearby skin and perhaps clothing.

I bought this over a year ago to fix a cracked foot platform on a mobility scooter. It had a big crack and you know that means big bucks $$$ for a fix. So I got looking on Amazon for a sticky patch and this popped up. I read the reviews and product description and ordered one not knowing if it would be any good or not. Honestly I had my doubts. It arrived and I got the scooter out and thoroughly cleaned it of all dirt, grease, crude, and made sure it was good and dry top side and underside. I knew this brand of tape was super sticky so I was sure to cut the exact size I needed. When I peeled the cover off the back of the tape I couldn’t believe how sticky it was. Like fly paper times 10. I carefully put it on the foot pad. I had to put another beside it because it was a large multiple crack. Rubbed it all in and hopped for the best. It has worked incredibly. The floor of the scooter is stronger than before and it has been used plenty here on the farm. Later I used it on the handle of my insta pot lid that I dropped and broke a big chunk off of. The broke piece was not reusable so I got the patch tape out and neatly covered the broken part on the handle. Rubbed it in and it cured it. I have ran it through the dishwasher like that at least 30 times and it is exactly like when I put it on. I will never be without this stuff so long as it’s available. Just make sure you thoroughly clean the thing your going to put it on and rub it on good. Don’t plan on getting it off. Put it in the right spot the first time. You try to take it off and you’ll have a fight on your hands. Try it, you’ll be glad you did.

This material is about the thickness of three Gorilla Tape pieces stuck back to back. The adhesive is much stronger. Make sure you get it where you want it, because you will have trouble getting it off. Good for repairing tarps, grill covers, etc. I used it to patch some vapor barrier under my house. I wanted something that wouldn’t curl up on the edges. I got it.

We bought rolls of this Gorilla Waterproof Patch & Seal Tape to reinforce our pond net and it works great! It is waterproof and has saved the wrap-around liner on the net. And dont even think about removing this tape...it aint gonna happen!
