Greater than one weekThe flavor is so good. I use it on my long bike rides and it really does its job. Gives me a steady boost without a hard sugar type crash.

> 3 daySo I actually have a pretty simple flavor taste, but Ive used these Gu Energy Gels for both Marathon race days as well as training. Theyre lightweight, easy to swallow, and typically do not leave a bad aftertaste. Vanilla bean is just my personal favorite flavor. Experiment with what you may or may not like. Always experiment with nutrition on training runs, and not race days, as everyones digestion is different, and they may cause upset stomachs if you havent used them before. Other than that, the only real downside, is if you dont stop to open and use them, they can make your hands sticky, because a little bit always kind of leaks out while youre opening and running.

> 3 dayI have tried a large variety of GU gels (and similar gels made by other brands) over the course of several years of running. Pro: Like all GU gels, these have a nice, liquidy texture that helps swallowing mid-run easier than some of the stiffer gels (Clif!). Con: The Salted Caramel description suggests a nice balance between sweet and salty, but I found the actual flavor to be overwhelmingly sweet and artificial (relative to other GU gels--they all taste artificial to some degree, of course!), and had an off-puttingly cloying tinge to the flavor.

> 3 dayI like GU. It helps me make it through my intense training days without making me dizzy or giving me heart palpatations the way pre-workout would. I usually take it after my warm-up and cardio are done, for the boost of energy I need to get through my strength routine. These little gels also make it easier to get through morning workouts before breakfast without absolutely crashing halfway through. I love these gels as a workout aid! I have even noticed less muscle soreness since I started using them. However, the flavors available are disappointing. I have bought GU from this seller, but also at a pre-marathon booth and let me tell you... there are 4 times as many flavors as this Amazon seller provides. Where is the Blackberry? Where is the Smores? The Toasted Marshmallow? These flavors of GU are all vastly better than vanilla. The basic flavors are the least pallatable because there is less flavoring to hide the taste of the gel. Please list more flavors!

> 3 dayThere are Gu Gel people and then there are the rest of us. I started off in the former camp - used the Gu Gel on a couple long runs and loved the energy burst. So I took the plunge and bought a 24-pack from Amazon, in Vanilla Bean (my favorite flavor). But as my long runs increased above 15 miles, I found the Gu Gel upset my stomach and instead I needed real food to fuel my body. Just depends on your mileage and personal preference. If you like the Gu Gels, Vanilla Bean is great and the price at Amazon (for a 24-pack) is the best Ive seen.

> 3 dayI used to use Gu energy gels exclusively for a couple of years when I first started running, and then the last couple of years my wife has been buying other energy gels and jelly beans. I decided to get some more of the vanilla gels since they have slightly higher amounts of potassium than the other products we have been using. However, I removed one star because I just find it hard to use this product when running. The thickness of the gel inside makes it harder to swallow than other similar products and for some reason it just always seems messier and stickier than the other products. I still like it and use it, but when it is gone I will likely not buy more.
