Works fine but I had to download a whole new app as it wouldnt recognize my current app where I control the rest of our smart plugs.

I recently bought the HBN Smart Plug 15A and it has been a lifesaver! I was using regular plugs in my living room and it always left me feeling frustrated. With the HBN Smart Plug though, I find myself spending less time trying to unplug things and more time enjoying my living room. One particular experience that had me laughing was when I tried to explain this new device to my mom. She didnt understand what Alexa or the WiFi & Bluetooth Outlet Extender was all about, so I jokingly plugged one of her lamps into the socket and told her that I could just ask Alexa to turn it off. Her jaw dropped when she saw it work, and then she asked if this meant she no longer had to get up from her chair every time she wanted to flick a switch! The HBN Smart Plug is easy to install, works well with Alexa and makes life a little bit easier. Highly recommend getting one for your home!

Perfect for my Christmas decorations around the house. I don’t need to get up to see if I remember to turn all the christmas lights/decorations off. I can control them now on my phone. BUT, I had a hard time installing or pairing it to my phone. Here’s my situation and how I solved it and made it work after an hour. First, make sure your wifi 2.4GHz is on. I have verizon fios and though I have a dual wifi connection, I’ve only been using the 5Ghz. I couldn’t find my 2.4ghz on my wifi list. So I did some research and had to turn off or disable the SON under wifi settings on fios app. Unplug my router and plug it back in after a minute or two then bam! it shows up. So when I got my phone connected to 2.4, I went ahead and start the pairing. This thing didn’t come with instruction so I went back to this page and read the manual. You will need to download the app “smart life” or simply scan the QR barcode in the back of the device. Then you will need to set the device up on pairing mode by press and hold either of the white button and the light blinks and it should be now visible on your phone. Then connect. Now, if you want to connect your phone back to 5Ghz(because I think it’s much faster than 2.4) all you gotta do is connect your device to alexa. Then you caan forget about the smart life app really because you can navigate or control your device thru alexa. As long as your device is connected to the 2.4ghz network your fine and that’s all that matters. I hope this helps! I highly recommend this and I might get one more set. F

The overall experience with this seller was great, shipping was good, delivery by Amazon was good. The product is outstanding, it synced up to Wifi without any problems, and works well with our Android phones. We are currently using them on Christmas lights inside the house. Great product that works well.

Took me all of 10 minutes to setup and most of that time was typing in device names and then deciding to switch the names between plugs. You simply download the Tuya app, connect to your wifi, push a button on the plug until the blue light flashes, follow Tuya prompts and you are connected. For Alexa, go to Skills, search for HBN Smart, Enable To Use, and enter Tuya account info. Done. Obviously there are Routines you can set in either Tuya or Alexa but if you have any experience with other smart devices, this will be easy as well. Highly recommend for ease of use. As an aside, the plugs themselves are relatively trim so they fit nicely in the outlet without interfering with other plugs.

I love how easy these are to set up. I purchased some from another company and I have to struggle to get the app to find those. I ended up replacing them all with these. I like having two separate plugs. There are some that are set up with one plug on a timer (lamp, wax melter, etc) with the other one always on. When I bought a new router it took me 5 minutes to reset them. Most of that time was getting around furniture to the plug. I havent had any issues if the power goes out. they just automatically reconnect. I havent figured out how to connect to my Alexa, but it works fine with the app on my phone. Plus, this way I can turn the lights on and off no matter where I am so it looks like Im home. Definitely worth the money.

I purchased a smart plug with 2 outlets and one with three outlets to light my outside Christmas lights. I was using a typical remote control unit that’s outside rated until I found this product. Despite my skepticism, it was extremely easy to set up and is working very well even in the -33 degrees Fahrenheit windchill we’ve been expressing for the last few days. I am very impressed and happy with this purchase. Will definitely recommend this product.

I spent over an hour trying to get this to sync with my Wi-Fi. I know I have 2.4 because I have other things linked to it. Little disappointment, will be returning

Plug never connected to Alexa, which is thy I bought it. Ill keep it & use it someplace in my home and yes Ill buy another one

I really like these smart switches. The smart phone app is great. Why pay more when these will get the job done well. We have a fountain in our entry way. I dont want it to run while we sleep -- an easy program schedule has the fountain and the spot light turning off and on in unison. Especially during the holiday season, save money by programming a schedule for lights to turn on/off is sooo easy. I couldnt be happier. I bought 3 of these switches and have them all working for me.
