> 3 dayBe warned it is not a miracle cure. If you have severe allergies you will probably need a more heavy duty purifier with better filters. I still have to dust just as often and I dont have allergies so I havent noticed a change there. It does help a bit with pet odor though. Im just not sure how much of the odor protection is from this filter and how much is from the carbon prefilter. I will say this though, unless you have really bad allergies you can probably let the filter go a while. I let the cheap blue one that came with it go about twice as long as what the directions said and didnt notice any problems. One thing to try first though, if you are considering these just for allergies and you have mild ones, you might want to check and make sure that your hvac filter is around a merv 8 to 10. It might be cheaper to just get better hvac filters than to get these and the air purifiers. Try that especially if you have the cheap blue ones that are ofter merv 1 or 0. Also you can buy hvac filters and tape them to those square box fans and it will work as an air purifier too. I would suggest that more for allergies though. I got this because we have pets and I dont know if its the arm and hammer in it or what but it seems to take the edge off the smell.

> 3 dayNice production. Just not sure if it is helping elimate odor or pollen in my room. It is accumulating dust on the filter though

> 3 dayNot real positive that this filter is any better than the regular but giving it a chance. The filters are great no matter which you use.

> 3 dayThese dont have too great a smell of their own, by me, although my extremely sensitive sibling may disagree. They do cut most of the smoke that drifts through our apartment walls, but still not completely effective against both the putrid electronic air freshener that comes through from the apartment below us, and whatever (rot? mold?) is behind the wall by the vanity that the pipes run through - we havent found anything that kills those, yet.

> 3 dayI got a HAP1200 from brick and mortar probably 10+ years ago. It came with a “lifetime HEPA” filter which doesn’t seem like a real thing then and definitely not now... Performance degraded over time so it really just did backup fan duty for many years. Fast forward to 2020 with crazy wildfires keeping us locked indoors for over a week. HEPA air purifiers sold out everywhere, so it was all hands on deck so to speak. I went out on a limb and found these filters fit perfectly! HAP1200 requires 2 filters (and you can mix and match colors/types.) These filters not only helped us get another HEPA in our rotation, but it saved a device from the landfill. Lifetime HEPA isn’t a real thing IMO - the performance between old and new filters was proven with our AQI meter, the increase of flow, and very obvious reduction in odor. If you have an old Holmes you might be able to breathe fresh life into it.

> 3 dayWe purchase these replacement HEPA filters for our Holmes Air Purifier and, although a little expensive, deliver an effective HEPA air purifying experience in our home where multiple people have bad allergies. We run our air purifier for a minimum of 12 hours a day and have found these cartridges give us a good three to four months utility before needing replacement. Whether you use a portable air purifier or invest in the HEPA air filters for your central heating and cooling, youre going to pay a premium for the HEPA-grade filters. So, we make an investment for the wellness of our family and these filters are a part of that investment. In all, I highly recommend this product for your Holmes Air Purifier if HEPA-grade clean air is a requirement for you.

> 3 dayThese fantastic little filters, while not being actually HEPA rated (theyre HEPA-type) do an amazing job of catching all the detritus floating around our house. We have a cat and a dog, and both are in a constant state of confusion over what season it is thanks to the miracles of indoor air conditioning, and so are always bulking up fur and then shedding it. I bought a tower style air purifier for our bedroom on a whim, and these as its replacement filters, not really expecting much. After four months, I went to swap them out and was amazed/disgusted by the amount of stuff trapped in these filters. Im actually going to be changing them every three months now instead of every four. Weve noticed a marked improvement in air quality (in particular, my wifes allergies seem to be less triggered - even though these arent true HEPA filters, they still do a great job reducing allergens in the air), and have bought an additional air purifier were running in another room with the same filters. I cant imagine upgrading to the true HEPA filters would be worth it for what they cost, when these already do such a great job.
