> 3 dayI use Bronze wool when cleaning antique or collectible items. It is abrasive enough to clean and polish, but not course like Steel Wool, so it does not easily scratch an item or remove a plated finish.

> 3 dayBronze wool seems to be better than steel wool in several ways. Highest on my list is good qualities is the fact that bronz wool will not rust. If I decide to leave a ball of this stuff on my bathroom tile I will not come back to a nasty, brown, rust stain. Steel wool will catch fire if it is hit by a flame or spark.

> 3 dayThe pads are thin and break up easily. The last time I bought bronze wool it was well worth the money as the pads were hefty and really lasted. I used one pad up really quickly oil buffing a door handle and thumb latch. The finished product is awesome so my idea an technique were fine but the disintegrating pad and fine bronze particles were kind of a pain but wiped up easily. The other two I used up rapidly cleaning ceramic tiles. Again the tiles are great. But the pads were gone very fast.

> 3 dayPurchased to remove light rust from collectable firearms it has done other jobs as well. Used with some gun oil I was able to dramatically improve the barrel appearance on two rifles one being made in 1902. I was able to use some elbow grease without destroying the original bluing. The other was only 30 yo it was a premium gun when made with high gloss bluing. My gal noticed the improvement and friends were impressed. Encouraged by good results I tackled and new Marlin rifle with a laminated wood stock. Starting with the barrel it got a light buffung with oil and turned out nice. Next the stock was worked with some of this dry. Starting cautiously it ended up getting a serious rubbing. The wood aquired a nice smooth finish with a slight gloss. All the fine scratches and small specks were removed with some work. This stuff does shed a lot of small particles especially when used dry and really trashed my gun mat. The particles getting stuck in the nap. My gal now uses it on her jewelry.

> 3 dayVery nice product. Used these for guitar building, my Tele is happier for the non rusting and very smooth feel of these. In fact steel wool caused a blue stain during my finishing and this Bronze Wool did a great job to buff it out, easily.

Greater than one weekWorks fine but it sheds fibers pretty bad and the pads tend to fall apart pretty easily. Bought to clean light rust from rifle barrel and it worked fine for that.

> 3 dayExcellent for cleaning Guitar frets, de-glossing fretboards and backs of guitar necks. Unlike steel wool, brass wool is not magnetic, so will not fowl your pickups...no masking required to cleaning fret wires during restring! Be advised, it is Fine but not Super Fine as 0000 Steel Wool, so use very light pressure on wood and poly if de-glossing.
