> 3 dayThis was perfect for removing hard to remove rust from a semi-soft metal item that I didnt want to scratch. Between this and #0000 steel wool I was able to remove 90% of the rust. There are still a few rough spots that are really rusted but I had no visible scratches even after hard scrubbing. It also holds up for a while when using.

> 3 dayGreat for scouring, rust removal, and polishing wood. Less aggressive than steel wool, wont scratch blued guns (if oil is used), and doesnt leave behind little rusting fibers of steel in your fine woodworking!

> 3 dayBest thing Ive found to get the best finish on woodwork or decorative metal I can get. And the great part is less metal fillings and no rusting bits left to discolor the workpiece. This has replaced all steel wool and some sandpaper grits for my purposes

> 3 dayI hate working with steel wool because it rusts so quickly. If youre using steel wool to remove the finish on wood, little bits of rusty steel can get into the wood and ruin the surface. I was very excited to find out that there was such as thing as bronze wool and immediately bought some to try. Ive used it in my furniture refinishing projects for several months now and also to remove rust on metal. Ive also started using it in place of kitchen steel wool pads, which become quickly become too rusty to use. Bronze is softer than steel, so bronze wool scratches less than steel wool of a comparable grade. Overall, bronze wool is a big improvement over steel wool for many applications, and Ive already ordered more of the fine as well as some of the coarse grade. The only reasons for giving docking it a star are: 1) its much more expensive than steel wool (yes, I would expect it to be more expensive, but IMO its disproportionately so, although the price has come down since my original order) 2) because its a soft metal, tiny fragments break off and can make a mess. Note: Bronze wool comes in fine (this one), medium, and coarse grades. I havent seen the medium grade anywhere, but Ive ordered the coarse grade and will post a review after Ive had a chance to work with it. Heres a link the coarse grade in case anyone wants to compare:

> 3 dayWorks fine but it sheds fibers pretty bad and the pads tend to fall apart pretty easily. Bought to clean light rust from rifle barrel and it worked fine for that.

> 3 dayThis was perfect to gently remove rust on parts that have a surface finish, like bluing. It also worked well to smooth down any overly textured piece of Cerakoted metal, like a rough edge or a piece that somehow ended up with a noticeable texture from fingerprints.

> 3 dayWhile this is considered a marine product, it was recommended to me for keeping rats out of holes. It may be too soon to see its effectiveness, as its only been in my grill for a short time. The vote is still out.

> 3 dayThis wool is more the equivalent of medium grade steel wool, not what I consider as fine. I use it to clean small brass parts after soldering. Seems to flake a lot more than I thought it should. My first time using brass wool.
