Greater than one weekbut people will not hear it outside The price is right to buy multiple units. Have 1 inside and one outside under the eaves of each end of the house.. Outside sirens are connected in series with a fuse so if a burglar were to short out the power wire on one, it will not short out other sirens or the entire alarm.

> 3 dayIt is a good siren, it appears to be well designed. Much better than the one that came with the alarm system I purchased.

Greater than one weekYeah baby! Ok that out of the way. I wired a 5v power supply to this horn, so once plugged in, it fires its ear destroying wobbly screeches. I then connect it to a smart outlet, which acts a siren for my door and motion sensors. A cheap way to add a siren to your DIY security setup. Put it in a room with vaulted ceilings for extra ear piercing echoing sound.

Greater than one weekI put this siren in my garage to test because I was expecting it to be too loud to be in the same room. Nope. I could hear it going off in the garage, but it wasnt so loud that it would have been hear by a neighbor unless they had their windows open and were sitting quietly. I purchased a 30W horn (warble and constant) for about the same money and you cannot be in the room when its going off! Its mounted outdoors (this one is not intended for outdoors) and there is no way the neighbors wouldnt hear it. So, if you just want a local, indoor alarm, then this will work. But its not going to get anyones attention outside of that.
