Greater than one weekThis machine is so simple to use and performed better than any of my other machines of a different brand. I love that I can take it apart after use and fully wash all of the parts instead of leaving it dirty which creates odors and grime buildup. Very pleased!

> 3 dayI always say I will write a review and I never do. This carpet cleaner gave me the motivation. Cons: seriously, none! Pros: -There are separate tanks for water and solution. A person like me who doesn’t want to read directions cannot mess this up. -There are attachments that make it so simple to clean things other than carpet. I cleaned the stairs, the dining room chairs (gross, by the way), and my car. One attachment even has an oscillating brush! The smaller attachments were perfect for cleaning the car. -Every part that gets dirty in the cleaning process is removed- easily removed. I was able to simply remove each part and take them to the utility sink instead of taking a toothpick to the machine like I’ve done in the past. -It did a great job of cleaning! My dining room chairs were so gross. Never get cloth dining chairs when you have kids. Anyway, the water that was coming out of there as it cleaned…. Yeah, it does a good job cleaning. If you’re going back and forth between this cleaner and another, I can’t speak for any other cleaners, but this one is truly perfection.

> 3 dayFor the price point this machine gets it done! We live in an apartment that has a carpet that gets dirty no matter how careful we are and with one pass look at the results!

> 3 dayWorks great. Not for big jobs because the water tank has to be emptied constantly. But overall great product. It withheld my big job.

> 3 dayLast time carpet was cleaned: At least a year. Houehold Occupants: A 2 yr old chocolate milk junkie, a 6 yr old food spilling champion and a senior chihuahua who doesnt always make it to her doggie pad. Shipping: Amazon is amazing as usual. Packaging: Very well packed. All the pieces were there and intact. Setup: Easy. Open the box, attach the handle, fill it up with water & solution, plug it in and start cleaning. Filling: Easy. The openings on the water & solution tank make filling a breeze. No leaks so far. As for the tank size, I feel its adequate. I believe I had to fill the water 4 times and used the entire sample solution bottle for my 10 x 12 living room. Cleaning: Wow! Thats what my wife said when she first saw the carpet after I finished. I felt it put down a lot of solution though so I went back over the area twice with just water which made the rinse option come in handy. The heated air feature is not a gimmick, I feel it helps the carpet dry faster. While this thing isnt a miracle worker, compared to what the carpets were before, it definitely cleans! Emptying: Easy. The separate tanks and spout on the dirty water tank let you fluidly empty the tank when necessary. Manueverability: Easy. Given its smaller size and larger wheels, I had no trouble pushing/pulling this thing around the living room. The cord was long enough to cover the entire room. Upholstery cleaning: It cleaned our microfiber sofa! I was seriously considering replacing our current sofa with a leather one (still might) because this thing is a stain magnet. If I could find the guy who told me this was the best fabric for kids and pets...I digress. The spin brush worked ok for me although I mainly used the wide upholstery brush, scrubbing as I went. I can see why companies charge a lot extra to clean a sofa or chair; very time consuming. The only downside is I need to go back over the side I cleaned because I missed some spots as it is hard to tell when its wet. Storage: Its the size of a vacuum, so it fits right next to Shark Navigator in the closet. The accessories bag that holds the hose and upholstery attachments has a hook attached to it which allows you to hang it on the machine when you arent using it. Durability: Too soon to tell. I think most things can last a while if you take care of them (cleaning before storage, cleaning the brushes, not running it into walls/furniture etc.). Cant do much for manufacturing defects except hope Hoover stands behind their warranty. Overall toughts: I was debating between this and the Bissell Big Green Machine. Both had great reviews and videos on YouTube, but at $127 I couldnt pass this machine up. I expected not to like it and carefully opened the packaging so it would be easier to return it to Amazon later, but as you have read above, I really like this little guy and Im keeping it. It might or might not clean as well as the $400 Bissell, but Im happy with it so thats all that matters to me. Thanks for reading and I hope my review helped you. Have a great day!

Greater than one weekIve used a handful of home carpet shampooers and a professional one rented from the grocery store and this one is by far my favorite. WEIGHT This is the lightest shampooer Ive used which makes pushing it around the whole house a breeze and much easier on my hands and back. Very easy to maneuver. WATER TANK The water tank holds about a gallon of water plus cleaning solution which is not a lot so Im frequently emptying and refilling the tanks, but this helps to keep the weight down so I dont have a problem with it. I really appreciate that when emptying the dirty tank you can choose to pour the dirty water out through a spout instead of taking the whole lid off. I didnt know how much I would like this feature until I tried it! No splashing mucky water everywhere! Both the water and solution entry areas are easily accessible. CLEANING POWER I have two boys who have an amazing ability to get everything dirty and a cat who likes to barf on the floor. My carpets are very old and get REALLY dirty. Its also been a long time since Ive had access to a carpet shampooer. Pictured is a high traffic area with some bonus cat barf on it and after one pass through it was so much cleaner! I have used a shampooer that did a little better cleaning on the first pass, but it was heavy, leaked, it was hard to clean, left the floors too wet, etc. For super dirty areas I go over the carpet twice and Im very happy with the results. It also left the carpet so fluffy. After going over the carpet 2-4 times on dry mode (not spraying water) the carpets were almost dry, which is a huge plus. I cant keep people/pets off the carpets for long around here so this is great. ATTACHMENTS It comes with a hose, an upholstery attachment, a stair attachment, an edge cleaner and an attachment with a spinning brush. The hose is super simple to attach to the machine. Ive seen some reviewers that didnt like the spinning brush attachment, but I love it. The first stair in my house is where everyone sits to put on and take off their shoes so it gets really dirty and the spinning brush scrubbed that sucker so clean. CLEANING THE VACUUM Anything on here that touches dirty water is amazingly easy to remove and clean! The brushes pull right off, the part on the front that sucks the water up lifts off easily after lifting a lever, which in turns exposes the filter, and the dirty tank opens all the way to get it clean. No hidden hoses or tight areas. This is huge for me. I have used a shampooer that was nearly impossible to clean and half my time was spent cleaning the carpet where the shampooer made it DIRTIER. Or trying to reach in with tweezers to get out a clump of cat fur that was stopping up the machine. Ugh. Because its so easy to clean I am much more likely to clean it after using it, which will extend the life of the shampooer. This is a big deal and this machine excels in this area. I wish my regular vacuum was this easy to clean! POWER CORD Its pretty short. Prepare to either use an extension cord or regularly plug it into a closer outlet as you move around. Either solution is not a big deal. NOISE Naturally, its a little loud. But not as loud as most of the ones Ive used - the one from the grocery store was so screaming loud I had to use ear plugs because my ears hurt after just a couple minutes. When I use it I pop in some ear plugs and listen to a podcast and everything is fine. TL;DR Buy this machine. Its lightweight, a joy to use and so easy to clean. Its easy to assemble out of the box (just two screws in the handle) and works well. Highly recommended. Seriously, stop looking and just get it. Your carpets and your back will thank you.

> 3 daySEE PHOTOS! Two years ago we made an addition to our family. Petunia. We love her dearly. Petunia has become the Head of Household. She occasionally decides to pee on the carpet. Poop on the carpet. Throw up on the carpet. Run her muddy paws all over the carpet. Our carpets were FILTHY. To be fair and upfront, after using this thing all of our carpets look a MILLION TIMES BETTER. They LOOK relatively brand new, and without any NOTICEABLE sign of accidents, dirty shoes, spills, etc. etc. I WOULD recommend this product for an inexpensive, economical, quick carpet clean. Important takeaways below, along with PROS & CONS: PROS: 1. Removed any noticeable sign of 2 years worth of dirty shoes, pee, poop, throw up, spills etc. in one go. 2. 8 foot extension hose for accessories-Makes it very easy for spot cleaning, stairs, corners, etc.-NO NEED to move the actual machine with a very long reach. 3. Accessory Scrub Brush-Out of all of the accessories, this one is the go to. Clean up accidents and spot messes with ease. Very quick. Very easy. FAR Better, and easier than doing so by hand. Takes :30 seconds to clean up an accident. 4. EASY CLEANING-Every single piece can be removed from the machine for very easy cleaning, including the individual spin brush heads on the main machine (Photos). 5. NO ASSEMBLY! Takes 10 seconds to attach ALL parts and this thing is ready to go. Removal of all parts takes the same amount of time. Fill the fluid tank with water to the fill line-Fill the carpet cleaning solution portion of the fill tank to the fill line-Ready to roll. 6. Very light weight-Easy to maneuver and carry, if necessary. 7. Very easy to attach accessories (Photo) 8. Accessories included CONS: 1. SEEMS to be made of VERY cheap material-Concerned about how long this thing will last...Not an ounce of solid metal to be found. All plastic, almost all plastic parts. 2. QUESTIONABLE SUCTION-First time using this thing, the DIrty Water Tank was FULL of almost BLACK water. This is exactly what I wanted to see. Obviously the job was being done. However, now the dirty water tank does not collect nearly as much water in general. The water is still dark, and clearly there is cleaning being done-There is just not even close to as MUCH suction and the floors remain VERY wet. 3. MAIN Spin Brush Heads (Mainly Utilized-Main Machine) REST on the floor-They are pushed into the carpet by gravity alone. Therefore, I am a little concerned with how deep down this thing actually cleans. They basically just rest on top of the carpet, and nothing PUSHES the brushes down into the carpet other than gravity-And theres not much, considering the main spin brush unit is very light. 4. Accessory Spin Brush Head is RIDICULOUSLY difficult to remove from the 8 foot accessory hose. Manual makes it look very simple-its not. Supposed to use your thumb to lift up a plastic piece for removal-Much easier said than done-Can actually hurt... 5. Spin Brush Heads, including accessory Spin Brush Head does not seem to be very powerful-They do not rotate as fast or with as much power as I would have hoped. Considering the main Spin Brushes rest on the carpet, I would have liked to see more power from these. 6. BIGGEST CONCERN-ONLY CLEANING SURFACE. Due to no pressure on the main spin brushes, dont expect a very deep clean. As a matter of fact, there is still a smell of dog pee even after it LOOKS like the mess is completely gone. RECOMMENDATION: BUY IT. If you are renting a carpet cleaner 3x per year, you cant go wrong. Now you do not need to make a trip to the store, pay $40 for renting the machine & purchase of cleaning solution, and you can clean your carpets whenever you want. Good investment. Will make your carpets LOOK a million times better, but do not expect a deep clean like you would get from an industrial type of machine and dont expect this thing to last forever...

> 3 dayExcellent for stairs. The scrubber attachment and long hose made it easy to clean the stairs. Just have to make sure that you attach it properly as improper attachment can affect suction. Im very happy with this machine.

> 3 dayThis carpet cleaner absolutely WILL get your carpets clean. I have owned many carpet cleaners in my time, and none of them have pulled up as much gross as this one has. To put this into perspective, I have 2 hairy cats, two hairy dogs ( GSD and a sharpei mix. Shedders for sure) as well as 3 children under the age of 10 who live their lives on a homestead. Messes are only second nature to us, and carpets are designed for destruction and gross collections. I go over a carpet twice and its coming up almost clean on the second round. It also pulls almost as much water as it puts down. Full and empty almost at the same time. The downside - people are NOT kidding when they say it has a small tank. I went over this small section twice and filled/emptied the tank 4 times. I understand if the tank was any bigger, this cleaner would be downright heavy and hard to move, but alas it still sucks to have to run up and down the stairs to fill it. In spite of this, I would still purchase this carpet cleaner again :)
