> 3 dayThe progressive innovations over the years make this cleaner top notch and convenient to use. This is my 4th carpet cleaner (2nd Hoover). Bissel has been good but more difficult to work with than the Hoover brand. Kudos to Hoover for the continued improvements! The machine is fragile in the sense that its mostly plastic. So requires deft handling. But the good price point and light handling are strong points. In my experience this type of machine is good for 2-3 years, depending on how heavily it is used. The convenience and effectiveness of the machine is delightful to a bi-weekly carpet cleaner (dogs).

> 3 dayI always say I will write a review and I never do. This carpet cleaner gave me the motivation. Cons: seriously, none! Pros: -There are separate tanks for water and solution. A person like me who doesn’t want to read directions cannot mess this up. -There are attachments that make it so simple to clean things other than carpet. I cleaned the stairs, the dining room chairs (gross, by the way), and my car. One attachment even has an oscillating brush! The smaller attachments were perfect for cleaning the car. -Every part that gets dirty in the cleaning process is removed- easily removed. I was able to simply remove each part and take them to the utility sink instead of taking a toothpick to the machine like I’ve done in the past. -It did a great job of cleaning! My dining room chairs were so gross. Never get cloth dining chairs when you have kids. Anyway, the water that was coming out of there as it cleaned…. Yeah, it does a good job cleaning. If you’re going back and forth between this cleaner and another, I can’t speak for any other cleaners, but this one is truly perfection.

> 3 dayThis is a fantastic scrubber. I will let any reader know very specifics about this scrubber. I previously owned the scrub master older version from about 4 yrs ago. The brushes stopped spinning and I needed a new one. I chose this scrubber because of the price, it came with alot of attachments in their own bag, and because its hoover. I believe hands down hoover is the best. Anyway. I chose this one as my new scrubber. BIG DIFFERENCE! My last hoover was way heavier than this one even before adding water. Also, my old one was longer in the front, making it awkward to carry because all the weight was hanging in the front. This scrubber is nice and compact. Shorter, lighter, and not as wide. Big wheels and short front make it very easy to turn, where my old one was harder. I always bumped stuff. Startup: cord is decent. I wouldnt say short its about average. this scrubber is very quiet. I actually think its quieter than my vacuum slightly. My old one was super duper loud I didnt even want kids downstairs it was so loud. This one is like a vacuum but you can immediately hear the power. The brushes scrubbed so well I could feel the brush vibration sometimes from how powerful. take others advice, rinse wash rinse. Rinse gets your carpet damp enough to work with the soap and move with the brushes easier when you wash. Im 8 months pregnant and can handle this machine so well. Does not strain me to use, and I can actually carry it. Tanks: two tank system plus other compartment for solution, perfection! They are slightly smaller tanks than the scrub master, but Im fine with that because the machine isnt as bulky or heavy. If you ever owned a huge scrubber, you would appreciate the lighter weight, but its not too light. The $89 Bissell classic model, is alot smaller than this machine (for comparison). So I love the size. What took only one tank on my old take just a little over one for each step (rinse step rinse) but honestly I dont care if rather refill than drag a huge machine. Result: my carpets are very clean now. Even spray! The powerful brushes fluffed up my carpet way better than my old machine. Oh my. So soft to walk on and the high traffic area that was crushed down I could barely get up with my old machine, is so fluffed now! So better performance, shocking for a smaller machine. Cleanup: Advanced! If you have ever seen someone elses scrubber, the front window where the water and dirt is sucked up is always disgusting! My old machine came with a thin tool to scrape some gunk out, but I lost it and over time the hair and dirt just collected in it. No way to take this part apart on any machine to clean it. Its sealed and screwed down. On this scrubber, you can actually take it off and clean it! What!? With a V shape it isnt holding a ton of dirt, and the hose attachment flap is in the center so you can rinse the whole inside of this piece. This is a huge plus, people. You can clean everything on this machine spotless when you are done. Please do clean after every use, it only took me ten minutes but it prolongs the life of all scrubbers. I used and cleaned it and it looks brand new, cant even tell I used it. Anyone who owns a scrubber knows how amazing that is. I have struggled with my old one trying to get it clean but never could get that front part clean enough. Gross. Final thought: LOVR THIS MACHINE. Im sorry some other people had trouble, it happens with some products not every one is perfect. This machine didnt leak like my other one, light, and very powerful. I know scrubbers, and this is top knotch! And for $130? Are you kidding!? Fantastic. If you have very tough stains I buy carpet spray spot cleaner and pretreat sometimes, which who cares I understand some stains depending what it is can be hard. But this scrubber is top of the line. Trust me. Why spend more money? Get this machine.

> 3 dayExcellent for stairs. The scrubber attachment and long hose made it easy to clean the stairs. Just have to make sure that you attach it properly as improper attachment can affect suction. Im very happy with this machine.

Greater than one weekI use this to deep clean my house, I have several rooms and stairs with carpets, and havent been deep cleaned for a while, with some noticeable stains on them. I bought this machine as well as the most powerful Hoover carpet cleaner I can find. It did clean the carpet for the rooms, but it will need some other carpet spot cleaner to soak the dirty spot first, then do multiple (3 to 5) passes to make it clean, and another maybe 3 passes with clean water and suctions only, then another 3 passes with suctions only to finish the clean without too much cleaner and water left in the carpet. This seems due to the brush and the suction are both not powerful enough. Also, its impossible to clean the corner of the wall with the regular head. The tool for stairs and corners has more issue for cleaning power, so it will take some effort to get the work done. However, as it gets the work done at last, I will still give a 3.5 stars here. Round up to 4 stars as its holiday season :-)

> 3 dayI’ve used this a fair amount since I bought it, and here are some random thoughts: 1) Hooked/Berber Rugs: I bought this specifically for the attachments because I thought I would need them to clean my hooked rugs (like Berbers with a looped pile) to protect it. After being on my hands and knees for ½ hour with the attachment, I realized that it was an exercise in futility, so I broke down and used the machine as intended. Well, turns out that the brushes are actually quite soft and gentle so it worked perfectly without damaging the rugs. 2) Rust: I read a lot of reviews that complain about the machine rusting, so I remove both the brush head and clear plastic nozzle (cow catcher on the front) before storing it. Can’t say whether this approach works or not (I’ve only had the machine for 6 months) but it can’t hurt. I’m hoping that it will help any residual moisture to dry out more easily. I also clean out the tanks well and make sure that they are really dry before putting them back on when I store it away. 3) Cleaning the brushes: No matter how much I vacuum first, this machine still manages to pull up a ton of dog hair from my rugs (maybe I need a new vacuum?). Anyway, all of the hair ends up buried deep down in the brush bristles. It turns out that you can remove the brushes from the clear plastic assembly that encases them, but frankly I’m scared to break the little locking tabs. As a result, it seems that soaking and “swishing” the entire assembly in a bucket of water seems to clean it fairly well. 4) Soap dispenser: Frankly I think the fill line ends up holding way more soap than you can use with one tank of clean water, and there’s no easy way to get it back into the jug so it’s a waste. I only fill the dispenser about ½ full. 5) Yellow “float” pops up: When the float pops up you loose suction, and it seems to be because the filter is blocked. This is probably the most annoying thing about this machine. I thought it was just the dog har that was blocking the filter, but even removing it with a clothes brush didn’t help. Now I’m convinced that soap build-up causes the blockage, and rinsing the filter with a lot of clean water seems to solve the problem. 6) Cord: I managed to run over the cord several times, which can’t be a good thing, so I finally looped it through the upper cord storage hook which fixed the problem. 7) High/Low Rugs: Not sure that any carpet machine could handle this, but the brushes cant reach the low parts of my high/low sculpted rugs. The attachments help though All in all I’m very happy with this machine and with how clean it gets my rugs. It’s not terribly heavy, so I’m able to clean all of my carpets without feeling like I ran a marathon. The price also seems reasonable when compared to others on the market.

> 3 dayTen years ago I decided to buy a carpet cleaner , I read a ton of reviews and decided on the earlier version of this . And it was great . It blew up last week . So , I looked at reviews and the top machine was this one , a new and improved version . This version is a lot better . The water tank lasts longer . I like having a separate soap tank . This one dries as well . The only issue I had was the clean water tank doesn’t seem to sit properly , but that doesn’t seem to be an issue . If you want a carpet cleaner , this is it . $200 whereas the machine I bought ten years ago was closer to $400 . You only get a small bottle of soap this time , so pre-order soap . And a word of warning , a buddy of mine says in this machine to only use the Hoover soap , he has no skin in the game . Update ,based on experience with earlier model . Ok I’ve used it a few times now . It definitely makes the water go further . You don’t end up emptying the dirty water every five mins . I pretty much did a 20x14 carpet on two tanks . The separate soap bottle is a great idea , as you don’t mix it with the clean water , you don’t mind throwing the clean water away . It dries . They got rid of the “steam clean “ which had nothing to do with steam , didn’t even heat the water . Now that is deep clean or light clean , which is basically what the steam clean did , by increasing water flow . Being able to remove the nozzle for cleaning is a bonus , so much easier to clean now . Seems they have put a slightly longer cord on this version as well . You CAN do stairs , I don’t have stairs , but you can use the smaller nozzle and hose for that . Just remember you will be dragging the machine up your stairs in some cases . Once again , if you want a carpet cleaner , this is a damn good machine. And if you owned the earlier model , and liked it , you will love this version ,
