> 3 dayI absolutely love this machine! I researched for 3 months before purchase. I usually rent rug Doctor wide track and have been for years. Its a heavy machine but heavy duty so comparison in products to purchase was a hard sell. Ease of attachments: This was very versatile with little work. I cleaned my entire sectional (pets, kids, spills) in 15 minutes. The attachments water return is equal to what it puts out. I used the upholstery attachment here. Stairs: the machine not only has a long cord but also a long hose. We have 12 steps. I left the machine at the bottom of the stairs and completed 8. Then moved it to the top and completed the last 4. I used the stair, crevice and scrub power tool. AMAZING! The attachments and the hose come in a neat mesh hanger bag for easy storage. Dry time on the attachments are a little longer because the heat drying system is not distributed through the hose. No big deal it did a fantastic job! I only had to go over it once. I even did my car mats!! They look brand new, again, kids, dog, spills. Dog pee: My dog gets spiteful and will pee on my cream colored carpet!!! AHHH. Alot of the time these sit, gross!! The scrubbing power (5 rotating scrub brushes) had no problem erasing these in one pass. Oh yeah and no more odors! My pet isnt a smelly girl but after awhile the carpets just smell from her hair! Fresh smelling rooms when I was done. It is a good idea to run a rinse after the wash cycle. use less soap than the fill tank requires. Cut it by half and add water instead or youll have bubbles. No issue after decreasing amount. Weight: very light but durable. I have back and neck injuries and I could carry it even with a full tank. Easy to clean! With reading little direction ( although the pamphlet is very descriptive) the parts came off easily for cleaning and went back easily too! The tanks are easy release and easy to clean. Theres a quick pour spout on the dirty tank to allow quick emptying when still Cleaning and also a latch system that allows it to come apart when complete. Leaking: It didnt leak when moving it, when I used the hose attachment I didnt fasten it and hadnt realized for a minute. This was the only time I had any water on the floor. The gallon tank was helpful. I did my couch and the dog room on one tank before changing it. The water return also is exactly what it put out. You can run this machine dry without any issue like others in the past. We covered, cleaning, attachments, tank size, cord length, hose length, weight, leaking potential, pet stains. I think thats alot of ground! Oh and assembly was 1,2,3. Just take two screws into base of handle and go! No messing with hoses or any mechanical gadgets! Im extremely happy with this purchase. Hoover has not always had all my faith but for this machine we are going to become great friends. I have already told you it took 3 months of research. Im picky and needed alot from my chosen machine. All in all I give this machine a 5 out of a 5

> 3 dayI like this machine! We previously had a different brand, and we had to take it apart several times to get the suction going again/get it to work at all. It just stopped being worth the hassle. I wont name the brand, because we also had a house dog while we owned that shampooer, and now we dont. So a comparison may not be fair. Some people are complaining about certain things. I dont presume that they dont have valid complaints, but I will address a couple of them from my experience. I will also mention a few things Ive learned. Rusting/freezing up: I have used it probably 5 times, and have not had a problem. I always go over the carpet with just suction when I am done cleaning. I dump the water out of the clean and dirty tanks. I clean the filter and let it, and the dirty water tank, air dry before putting it back together. Maybe these steps help with the rust issue. Leaking: the only leak problem I had was on the first use: the soap dispenser drained completely, after only using it on one small carpet. I knew that was way too much soap (but wow, the carpet was clean!) I contacted customer service online. The guy was sympathetic but said he had never heard of this problem. I said I would try it again to see if it did it again, suspicious that I had done something wrong. My conclusion: user error. When replacing the dirty water tank, there is a lock on the front of the machine. It should snap into place and make a noticeable click when it is correctly placed. When it was not nested correctly, it caused the soap release button to be continuously pressed, causing soap to dispense all the time. So I have not ever had that problem again. Customer service: The rep I spoke with emailed me with a follow-up note, to ask if I was still having problems. I was impressed that he took that step. Since I had fixed my own error, all was well. I did not need further help, so I cant comment on how that might have gone. This cleans well, but Im sure it is not as good as a commercial shampooer. I have found that I may need to spot-treat some stains. For food or pet stains, one or two treatments with a pet stain cleaner with enzymes, prior to shampooing, does wonders. For very dirty, high traffic areas, I hit those first with the wash setting. Then I go over the entire carpet on the wash setting, then rinse well, and one more time with no just suction. I do think that the drying feature seems to dry it more than my previous machine did. My previous machine also had a heater for the clean water. This machine does not. I only fill it with hot water, and it is used up within 15 minutes, so I think this works just fine. One irritation I have is that the tanks never need attention at the same time, and I found myself stopping every five minutes to dump the dirty water, or fill the soap or clean water reservoirs. So now if one tank needs attention, I take both and dump/refill all in one trip. I can keep going longer that way. A very simple fix. There are attachments to use on upholstery or small areas. They are stored in a bag, which is not as convenient as having them all snapped right onto the machine. I have not used them yet, so I cant comment on how well those work. Also, I do not use the Hoover brand of soap. I make my own. I know that this is not recommended, and may void any warranty. Do so at your own risk, but I have not had any problems doing so. This was $130 when I bought it in 2018, and I have used it several times. We dont have a lot of carpet, but ours gets pretty dirty. My nearest place to rent a commercial shampooer is 20 miles away, and it costs $30 per day to rent. I have gotten my moneys worth out of this machine already. I hope it keeps running for a long time, but even if it doesnt, I am a satisfied customer. I am paying for convenience-no trips to pick up and return- as well as cleaning my carpet. If I wanted one to last for years and years, I would not expect to pay this amount. I am sad that some manufactured things these days end up being disposable, but I also dont want to fork over 3-5 times the amount for a more heavy-duty machine.

> 3 dayWe bought this cleaner to replace an older carpet cleaner that had literally fallen apart. We have stairs in our house, and we found the extension wand and hose does a nice job of cleaning pet stains on stairs and landings. The unit is fairly light. I wish it had a handle at the mid point of the machine to make it easy to carry between stairs. My biggest complaint is that the cleaning liquids are extremely expensive. But it gets the job done.

> 3 dayOkay, so the thing is more lightweight than my old hoover shampooer and makes much less noise. It does a good job as far as I can tell cleaning the carpet and throw rugs. Have to give it 5*s on that count but I could not find hoover shampoo at Walmart so I brought an off-brand. But could not be sure how much to add to the soap dispenser because I didnt know how much water the other half of the dispenser held. I had to get an empty gallon container and pour it into the water side of the tank to know how much of shampoo solution to add to the other half. In the end, it was way too soapy as I probably put in too much. Whatever. I used it anyway. THEN here is the part to be careful about (the design flaw). The dirty water container has two latches, one on each end. I unlatched the wrong end and then when i picked the dirty water tank up and out to dump it... it released dirty water all over the floor! Luckily it was on a tile floor and i re-attached the dirty water tank and sucked it right up. Now that I made that mistake once, wont be doing THAT again. Overall, now that i have gotten the hang of it, its going to be just fine. I like Hoover products. I used my old hoover shampoo for nearly 10 years and let my family borrow it too. I have a hoover vac that is awesome and love it. It was great and this one is going to be great too now that Ive made a few mistakes and figured out how to use it properly. I recommend it overall with the above caveats. Hope my review helps someone.
