> 24 hourThis monitor does what it’s advertised to do well. When plugged into a PC/laptop as external display, it runs games great at 1440p & 144hz (up to 165hz display port). It also runs certain PS5 games that have 120hz support at 1440p very nicely. The biggest drawback I have found is that console games capped 60fps are a hit or miss on this monitor. This monitor does not do 60hz well for some reason. Obviously 60hz is not its intended function, but many of the older PS4 games, like older CoD titles (which run at 60hz), look terrible on this monitor. There’s ghosting, screen tearing, and input lag, even with the response time set to Level 1 in the monitor’s OS, the lowest value. Even Battlefield 2042, which is a next gen game meant to run at 60hz has ghosting and a slight input lag with this monitor. It’s not a true, smooth 60fps. This wasn’t an issue with the generic 24” 60hz flatscreen I used to play my PS5 on, for PS4 or PS5 games running at 60hz. So if you’re a PS5 owner looking for a “do it all” monitor for your next and last gen titles, you may be disappointed to see your last gen titles don’t run as well as before. Overall, still a good buy and a no brainer for PC users looking for a budget gaming monitor, or next gen console gamers.

> 24 hourI love this monitor! For $299 you really cant beat it. The HP X27Q looks great, performs great, and is cheap. It arrived with no dead pixels, no noticable light bleed that I could see, and great color uniformity. So why only four stars? The warranty practices... This monitor comes with a one year warranty, BUT it starts from the day it was actually manufactured, not the day you buy it. NOTE: You can email HP and get the warranty dates changed to start from your date of purchase by providing them proof of when it was purchased, but I feel like this shouldnt be necessary, it should just be automatic that the warranty starts from your date of purchase. Thats why I knocked off a star.

> 24 hourPurchased the monitor at a great discount due to being a 2021 model. Very happy with purchase. Now the true test is beginning ... how long will it function like new?

> 24 hourBeen playing on a 43 ultra wide. Ordered three of these on a black Friday sale to try triple setup. These are amazing panels. Buttons on the back are a pain but Ill deal for the price and picture quality.

> 24 hourUpgraded to this from my samsung 27” curved monitor and it was worth it after playing around with the settings I was able to get the the picture to where i liked it. The monitor stand itself has the slightest horizontal tilt to it which bugs me a little bit when im not locked in while gaming but its worth the pick up if its on sale and you need a new monitor.

> 24 hourSo, to start off with, this is a great monitor. A fantastic monitor. Everything from the rich colors to the increased frame rate is exactly what I had hoped for. Especially coming from a brand that I am very familiar with (I had a similar model but very early on, maybe 2011?). And, just like my previous monitor, this one rotates to a vertical display! Just make sure you tilt the monitor outward at the bottom in order to ensure you have enough clearance. Anyway, as mentioned, its a great monitor and would be a welcome addition to anyone looking to expand their desktop for work, or a gamer looking to enhance their gaming experience. Assembly of this item was also incredibly easy.. you literally open the box, remove the cardboard and snap the arm of the base into the back of the monitor. Et Voila! I do have a few issues with this monitor though.. - The cable thats included with it... it only provided a Display Port cable and unfortunately my laptop does not have one of those. I obviously had extra HDMI cables but I would have expected one to be included, especially at the $200+ price range. - the connection on the monitor for the Display Port is very tight and leaves little room for actually removing the Display Port cable once attached. A better design would have been to maybe put the push-release for the display port cable on the sides, instead of on top of the cable. - There is no auto-adjust display when rotating the monitor to vertical display. This might be something that I adjust on my display settings, but my last HP monitor that rotated would automatically change the display to vertical. This monitor works and looks great and none of these issues are deal breakers by any means. It just simply means I cant give it a 5-star review.

> 24 hourProbably the best 1440p monitor you can get for the price. Comes with DP cable (No HDMI). Colors look great and I haven’t had any issues with dead pixels or backlight bleeding. Definitely should go with this if you’re balling on a budget.

> 24 hourI bought this monitor for a gaming set up I recently built. I was a bit worried since I got it under 200 dollars but I couldn’t be happier. Came in with zero issues and after month of use I’m happy. Video quality is great, and the monitor is responsive. Size was perfect for me even though I was worried it might be a bit big. For reference I’m coming from a 4K 16 in laptop that had an i-9 and some built in graphics. Design is simple and appealing to me, and the bezels are almost nonexistent. The one thing I could nitpick about would be daytime brightness. I have a huge window and get lots of sunlight bleeding in during the day. This would be the only time the brightness doesn’t seem to be enough. The fact it’s highly adjustable helps too! It’s still manageable for sure but something to keep in mind.
