Do yourself a favor and wait until this goes on sale again for <$200. Anyone in the market for a 1440p monitor should seriously consider the X27q. People over on r/buildapcsales go absolutely gaga for this monitor whenever theres a flash sale. And for good reason, too. It has all the specs you want - 165hz refresh rate, 1ms response time, and of course the budget friendly yet crystal clear 1440p resolution. No, you wont get HDR or any other bells and whistles, but for everyday use from streaming media content to gaming, the X27q is more than up to the task.

I love this monitor! It works so well and is the perfect size (it almost is even a little large for me). I have no complaints and I have had no issues with how it performs. My only complaint is that it only has 1 hdmi connection and 1 displayport connection. I have 2 devices that use hdmi and no devices that use displayport so my temporary solution is that I have to switch the hdmi cord back and forth between devices as I want to use them haha. I knew that when I bought the monitor though, so I didn’t take off any stars for it. No other complaints on this monitor!

Bought two of these to pair up with a 4070 Ti video card. They arent true HDR, but theyre nice.

Firstly, theres lots of discussion (for years) about this product having two variants. One has a panel made by LG and one BOE. Both are fine but are EXTREMELY small details. For the normal person it doesnt matter, but in sum, LG panel is better for office stuff and the BOE is better for games. It is a very very small difference and theres lots of testing to find on Google. I have the LG one. Good: colors out of the box are good, quality feeling stand, and vesa Bad: The stand somehow glides despite the 17kg monitor its holding, buttons are old, monitor itself is kinda cheap feeling/looking, you can only rotate the monitor one way, and you cant use the fastest response time without experiencing ghosting, and there is coil whine if you use HDR, but the HDR actually sucks as brightness doesnt go up, and local dimming is non-existent so black color on screen while youre in a dark zoom look eh. For 100-200 this is nearly perfect though. For that price range. Obviously more expensive stuff will close this out of the water. Just 100$ more can go a long way.

Used for gaming, photo editing, general computer-ing. HP pulled a bait-and-switch with this monitor, and you may get a superior LG panel or a subpar BOE panel. If you can get it for less than $200 its a steal either way, and a HUGE improvement from 1080p 60hz. IPS glow is kind of bad. My lower left corner has bad IPS glow, lower right is noticeable, top corners are fine.

Excellent performance at this price point. It has very good picture and motion quality with just one significant ergonomic issue, the user controls are on the back. This makes setup and adjustments bothersome. This monitor also solved an odd issue, Prime Video not playing in HD on a 2 monitor system even though the old monitor is HDCP compliant.

You arent going to get a better monitor without spending double. There are cheaper monitors on the market, but they tend to have really dim light and poor color quality. This monitor is very bright, smooth, and has amazing color quality. It has some small backlight bleed, but it isnt much and of course you arent going to get rid of it with out spending at least double. Dont buy something cheaper, wait a while and get this one!

Only thing I didnt really like is that the colors were a bit inaccurate out of the box, used some software and got a proper color profile on it and its amazing.

All play, every day. We"ve redefined high definition gaming with IPS technology, 165Hz, 1ms response, AMD FreeSync™ Premium, and more colors than ever before.
