> 3 dayThis is a very new 165Hz gaming monitor and as such there unfortunately isnt many reviews for it out there so I decided Id write a few words regarding my experience with it thus far. I have been using the HP X27q for a few days now and so far I absolutely love it. The screen is absolutely beautiful and in my personal opinion it feels like 27 seems to be a pretty good sweet spot for the QHD (2560 x 1440) resolution that this monitor provides. The Height Adjustment mechanism is very smooth as well. It was very easy to setup and it came with a DisplayPort cable in the box which was a nice bonus. For my use case I mostly use the monitor connected via DisplayPort to my desktop computer with an AMD graphics card. However, I did temporarily connect it to my gaming laptop which uses Nvidia and while the monitor uses AMD FreeSync Premium and isnt listed as G-Sync compatible I manually enabled G-Sync within the Nvidia software on my laptop and it seemed to work just fine in my limited testing. (I should note that the G-Sync option will only appear when the monitor is connected via the DisplayPort.) I also tested my laptop connected to the monitor’s HDMI port using a premium Cable Matters HDMI cable and was getting a 144Hz refresh rate at the maximum resolution in the few games that I tested. The only very minor annoyance that I have is that you have to reach your hand around the back of the right side of the monitor to access the controls.

Greater than one weekLets go straight to the point. Pros: -165Hz (Display Cable only). -Good picture quality. - Good color Vivid. -1440p resolution. -27inch is prefect size for gaming. Con: - Colours out of the box is not great. You need to change or customize it to get the best out of it. -Everytime you touch the HDMI or display cable it turns off the screen and it comes back up again. -Theres a little dull color area in the right side of the monitor. its very small and you dont really notice it when you are watching movies and playing games. -Also I one dead pixel (Not too bad)

Greater than one weekI personally love this monitor. I dont really have much to say. Pros: - Affordable. Can get it on sale for a steal. - Decent color accuracy out of box. - Brightness is pretty decent. - Comes with both HDMI and DisplayPort cables out of the box. Which is uncommon in my experience. Cons: - No USB hub. - This monitor has a display lottery. You may get one of two types of panels. People online argue a lot about which one is better, but realistically both will suit the needs of most buyers. However, if youre very picky (or rely a lot on reviews) its iffy on whether or not itll apply to your purchase, since most reviews are only based on one panel type or the other. All panels are still IPS, still 1440p, still 165hz. the difference is mostly color accuracy and color grading. Look into it if that concerns you, otherwise I can pretty much assure you that the experience will be solid.

> 3 dayDo yourself a favor and wait until this goes on sale again for <$200. Anyone in the market for a 1440p monitor should seriously consider the X27q. People over on r/buildapcsales go absolutely gaga for this monitor whenever theres a flash sale. And for good reason, too. It has all the specs you want - 165hz refresh rate, 1ms response time, and of course the budget friendly yet crystal clear 1440p resolution. No, you wont get HDR or any other bells and whistles, but for everyday use from streaming media content to gaming, the X27q is more than up to the task.

> 3 dayExcellent performance at this price point. It has very good picture and motion quality with just one significant ergonomic issue, the user controls are on the back. This makes setup and adjustments bothersome. This monitor also solved an odd issue, Prime Video not playing in HD on a 2 monitor system even though the old monitor is HDCP compliant.

> 3 dayI got a Dell 24” curved gaming monitor prior to this one and honestly I regret it. This HP monitor is sooo much better!! The quality is better and brighter. The only thing I wish it had was more ports.

> 3 dayZero complaints. Adjustable stand works, stand footprint isnt too big. Great picture quality, refresh rate, and latency for $210 dollars. At the price I bought it at it was an absolute steal. If anyone is looking for a 1440p monitor at a great price that checks all the boxes this is my #1 recommendation.
