> 24 hourIts been few months now, so I can review this monitor. I got this for a bargain here. The color is perfect. No dead pixels. Laptop and Desktop detects this automatically. I certainly recommend this.

> 24 hourIve received six of these so far – a mix of the LIM111 (1x), LIM101 (1x), and BIM111 (4x) revisions. Both LIM revisions appear identical in all aspects that I can see, while the BIM revisions have some serious quality differences. See attached photos for a comparison (LIM on left and BIM on right). The stock color difference is not as extreme as it looks, thats just distortion on camera due to the anti-glare coating, its only roughly half as bad. LIM111/LIM101 (LG): • No flickering • Good anti-glare coating and no visible graininess • Beautiful and vibrant color • Strong and accurate whites/grays • Great viewing angles • Moderate IPS glow BIM111 (BOE): • Flickers a lot (more on that below) • Excessive anti-glare coating that causes visible graininess on the screen • Weaker color vibrancy • Weaker whites/grays • Poor viewing angles • Minimal IPS glow For those who have a mix of BIM and LIM revisions, I recommend trying out custom RGB on both – (245, 255, 255) on LIM and (255, 255, 255) on BIM. Theres still a noticeable difference, you cant get them to match without drastically hurting color accuracy on LIM, but its a decent improvement. Do not install an ICC profile on the BIM revisions unless its specifically tuned for it. 3 of the 4 BOE panels that I received flicker, including replacements from different warehouses. The flickering is like a momentary 20-30% drop in brightness, and it happens in batches of 2-3 times over the course of several seconds, generally reoccurring every 5-30 minutes. I couldnt find any settings that helped, including reducing the refresh rate and disabling adaptive sync, nor swapping the cables with a LIM panel that didnt flicker. It seems like theres possibly a flicker lottery going on here too...

> 24 hourBought this to replace my LG G-sync certified monitor when it was clear (at the time) I was not going to get my hands on an RTX 30 Series card at an even remotely reasonable price anytime soon (yes this was months ago). Its picture quality may not be quite as good as the previous but it works as expected and came at an excellent price well below what I paid for the device it replaces. Fast forward, im still not buying an Nvidia card now after the money already spend on RX, so itll remain my daily driver for work, gaming and general browsing for the foreseeable future.

> 24 hourI am not particularly impressed by the colors and it is not a very bright monitor. The picture does look good (I am used to just a 1080p monitor and the difference is noticeable) but with monitors you get what you pay for. Overall it is a nice size and clear image but if you are looking for something “vibrant” and “bright” you may need to look at monitors at least in the $300+ range.

> 24 hourUpgraded to this from my samsung 27” curved monitor and it was worth it after playing around with the settings I was able to get the the picture to where i liked it. The monitor stand itself has the slightest horizontal tilt to it which bugs me a little bit when im not locked in while gaming but its worth the pick up if its on sale and you need a new monitor.

> 24 hourOnly thing I didnt really like is that the colors were a bit inaccurate out of the box, used some software and got a proper color profile on it and its amazing.

> 24 hourExcellent performance at this price point. It has very good picture and motion quality with just one significant ergonomic issue, the user controls are on the back. This makes setup and adjustments bothersome. This monitor also solved an odd issue, Prime Video not playing in HD on a 2 monitor system even though the old monitor is HDCP compliant.

> 24 hourI got this for $210 which for what it is, was an excellent deal. I ended up ordering a second and one was the LG panel and the other was the BOE panel. I really dont see a difference between the 2 panels. Yeah theres the usual IPS glow and if I am being super critical, the LG one has a little more glow on the top left than the BOE panel, but its totally acceptable for this price. The black frame insertion performance is great and the response time set to 2 looks perfect. The HDR looked super clipped and blown out no matter the settings on my PS5, but I didnt get this monitor for that feature. I wish VRR was supported on the PS5 for this one, but at least it works on the PC and Xbox consoles. I highly recommend this screen if you see it on sale and need a gaming monitor.

> 24 hourI read all the reviews and became scared of the panel lottery, but the price was just too tempting. And all this BOE fearmongering turned out to be nonsense. I think youre going to be subjected to panel lottery in general (not just BOE vs LG) and this will be your primary concern. For me, I got an absolutely immaculate BOE. Zero light bleed. Colors look great, a feast for my eyes. Very happy with my supposedly inferior panel. The only scenario where I could see this even being a small problem is if you plan to buy multiple X27qs. In that setup, ideally all your panels would be identical... but even then, these specs at this price point? Still compelling even with that caveat. Another huge bonus for me personally is the stand. It has a small footprint yet is very sturdy and has TONS of adjustment. Most cheaper monitors will cut corners on the stands, and I cannot understate how awesome it is to have the option for portrait mode and height/tilt adjustment out-of-the-box. Again, mind blowing at this price point. I primarily play a lot of fast-paced, flick-shot arena FPS on mouse and would notice any sort of delay or ghosting instantly - there isnt any. I dont own testing equipment to measure exact color accuracy and response time, but I am particular about image quality/delay and have daily-driven more displays than I can count, including 4k and 300hz displays. After 2 months of daily use, I can assure you that this thing punches WAY above its price range - assuming you dont get a dud. But that applies to pretty much any display you may be considering buying.

> 24 hourI recently ordered January 21, received January 24. I got an LG panel, very happy with that over the BOE panel! The picture quality is miles better than 1080p, and the refresh rate is top notch. Cant compare this to other 1440p monitors, but I am highly satisfied. With some calibration, 10/10
