> 24 hourNot much to say about this except it does what its suppose to do. If you want full body immersion you need these and vive trackers. I suggest 4 base stations with a large play space and 2 if your play space is small.

> 24 hourLet me start this by saying I don’t know if this is the products fault, Amazon’s fault, or both. I bought two to begin with earlier this year as an upgrade from the 1.0 models. Let’s call them #1 and #2. They have worked perfectly fine since buying them. Now after a few months I have expanded my play space and decided to buy two more stations. They arrived and #3 worked perfectly but #4 had a blinking red light from the beginning. Hardware malfunction with no fix. Had to get a replacement. Once that arrives, I plug it in the have the same issue. A third base station and I finally have a working one. Then after about a week of playing with all four, #3 which seemed to be working fine, starts to show a blinking red light with no one touching or moving it. I have a replacement for #3 on the way as of writing this. Hopefully this one works when it gets here and stays working.

> 24 hourI have a valve index with four 2.0 base stations. The tracking is impeccable. I have had one base station go bad and it was replaced no questions asked. Great product great service.

> 24 hourI purchased one of these base stations to add to the two that came with my Valve Index kit. Having 3 base stations is a great way to make sure that you have good tracking no matter what direction you are looking in.

Speculations
> 24 hourThese things work great, youll find yourself here because steam refuses to restock these. For someone desperate, paying the extra $50 for the same product with no mounting hardware is your choice. I was in need of a 3rd due to PlaySpace lighting and coverage issues. Ordered 1 and it shipped relatively quickly. Died about 2 weeks in so I sent it back to amazon and requested another one. Replacement arrived with red light of death already appearing, so I am now returning that one with a new replacement on the way. I have found most of these break during shipping due to how fragile they are. Amazon customer support is great and refunds you no problem if it breaks within 30 days, if not good luck with HTC support on replacement. If it survives shipping it should be good to go. Ill update if any more issues occur. No news is good news.

> 24 hourThe base station itself is the exact same as the ones sold by Valve. That is not my issue. My issue is these are $50+ more expensive than the base stations sold by Valve on Steam. That wouldnt be that big of a deal if these base stations from HTC didnt also come with objectively worse accessories. Mounting hardware: Haha get screwed. You thought your $200 base stations would come with mounting hardware just like the $50 cheaper ones from Valve? Power cable: Not only is the cable that comes with these base stations sold by HTC significantly shorter than the ones sold by Valve, but it is also stiffer and does not hang nicely straight down the wall. The power brick is also much larger than the one Valve gives you. Overall: DO NOT BUY unless you absolutely cannot wait to get them from Valve. You will need to buy mounting hardware and have to deal with a shorter/uglier cable.

> 24 hourImproves tracking in large playspaces and reduces the chance of losing tracking from occlusion.
