I bought this for parting my daughters 3c / 4a hair when protective styling. I got it last week and used it for the first time last night to part for some simple puffs. It was SO much easier to get a straight part with the fine metal tip than with either our bone rat-tail comb or plastic rat-tail pic. I dont think I will use the actual comb part--its too fine-toothed for either my hair or my little girls. But I love the metal tail; its just perfect for what I bought it for. And I was sold on this particular comb because it comes with the felted case to protect the comb from breaking, protect the people handling it from getting stabbed, and protect surfaces and other tools from getting scratched or stabbed while its in storage. Strong, sturdy and gentle at the same time! I love the texture its hard but not heavy! Now I can part and style box braids more easily and neater!

These are my favorite combs. Nice and sturdy and dont break. The pick is perfect for separating out sections of your hair, and also for itching your scalp if you wear extensions. Ive bought 2 so far, just because i like having more then 1
