> 3 dayI’m enjoying the high resolution flat screen. I’ve been waiting for this type of design for a long time now. I have an entertainment cabinet that required a screen to operate the AV and other connected devices. I am satisfied with this product.

> 3 dayIve just recently purchased this InnoView Portable Monitor for Laptop, and Im very satisfied with it, so far. I cannot yet speak to the longevity of this monitor, because Ive only had it for a few weeks, and I have not yet had occasion to use it for travel, which is the primary reason I purchased it. However, what I can say is that it is a very nice monitor that connects easily to my notebook computer, using two cords provided by the company (using one cord for video and another cord to draw power from my notebook computer). The company also provides a third cord for separate power to the monitor, if needed; I dont need that, but its nice to have. Id thought Id be able to just use one cord to connect the monitor to my computer, but Im fine with the two cord connection. The color, resolution, etc. of the monitor are fine. No problem. Its not top quality, but for the price it is very reasonable and not a problem at all. What I really like, too, are: the monitor has a matte finish, which is what I wanted, and which I dont think a lot of monitors have; and that the monitor has a very good protective cover that doubles as a very sturdy monitor stand that provides two different angle positions. In addition, the customer service has been excellent. Ive had a few small questions, and company representatives have gotten back to me very quickly.

> 3 dayEDIT: Got a very nice response from InnoView. Apparently you need a full service USB-C cable. I have never heard of such a thing. Above and beyond customer service. Picture quality is awesome. Construction seems good. I really have no complaints, except.... I bought a USB-C cable that was longer than the one that came with the monitor. It doesnt work... no signal. It is a high quality cable. No problem there. I really find it odd and would give this product a higher rating if not for that. What do I do when/if this cable stops working.

Greater than one weekI bought this monitor so I have a second monitor to hook up to my work laptop when I travel. Im used to always having two screens and this monitor is good quality and economical. I did buy a more sturdy aluminum stand for the monitor though. The hard plastic case stand was not sturdy enough for me.

> 3 dayThis monitor is the perfect companion to my macbook pro. Its size and thinness makes it light and easy to add to my bag with macbook. I am learning to code so I put instructional video on the monitor and I practice writting code on my macscreen. The settings on the mac allow me to use this monitor vertically. I am does not support that natively , but the macbook display settings lets me do it, if i need to. Mostly i just use it horizontally like in my picture. No glare on the screen. it works with JUST ONE CABLE connected to my Mac. You need to choose the correct USB-C port on the mac to get full brightness without plugging in the aditional power cord to the monitor. When the port does not provide enough power you will still be able to use it, but brightness will default to level30 and that is fine for indoor use. With the correct port on the Mac, the monitor will be able to display full brightness(100). Its truely an economical and quality way to extend your screen real estate! You really dont need anything more expensive. i have tried others more expensive, and the quality is the same or less. and those monitors are heavier or harder to carry around. Thanks INNOVIEW!

> 3 dayI’ve only used this a few times but it’s been very nice to have and handy. It took me a couple of tries to figure out how the stand works but now that I’ve figured it out it’s great. It comes with all of the necessary cords and hooks right to my laptop. You can adjust the brightness on the side and it’s a clear screen. I am not sure about longevity but I’m happy with it. It’s also nice and slim and I can just slide it right into my back pack. It’s light and slim.

> 3 dayI love the fact that this monitor is lightweight and portable. The only issue I have is when I connect it to my laptop, it makes a buzzing sound. I know it’s the monitor and not my laptop, because when I disconnect the monitor , the annoying buzzing sounds stops. I bought it to use on my trip to Texas and sued it, however the buzzing sound really gets on my nerves sometimes. I may try using the HDMI cord when I get home to see if it stops. If not, I will have to return it for replacement. My review is getting 4 stars instead of 5 because of the buzzing it makes.

> 3 dayI have been researching additional screens for my laptop for over a month now. I was intrigued by the ones that attach to the back of the laptop screen and fold or slide out, but i just wasnt sold. I finally came across portable separate screens like this. So glad i got this one vs. an attached one. I travel A LOT and i get extremely frustrated trying to work without a second screen since i use it on my desktop, it was time to get a second screen for when im stuck in hotel rooms on business. 1) The box had a high quality feel to it, the packing materials and everything inside the box spoke of quality to me. This is important to me as I am a business owner and manufacture product. Packaging is HUGE when it comes to customer experience. cheap packaging usually means cheap product. 2) super easy setup. i literally just plugged it into the USB-C on my laptop, immediately turned on. small little rocker switch on the side to adjust brightness. 30 seconds later changed setting on my laptop to extend display to the left side of my laptop. 3) its a solid little monitor. has a good weight to it. does not feel flimsy whatsoever. the stand feels pretty sturdy as well, and there are two indentations in the stand for different viewing angles. 4) pictures is sharp and clear. bright screen, accurate colors. 5) last but not least. i got this for $160. are you kidding? no brainer. *amazon literally delivered it the same day. I live outside of denver, so def. in a major commerce area. this was literally the first time i ever had the option for that. which speaks to the availability and distribution of this product itself. I got the 3 year warrantly for $30 or whatever, since i travel A LOT, and will be bringing it with me everywhere. ** I have not tried the sound, and will never use it, as my laptop has bluetooth and i bring my JBL Charge with me wherever i go as well. but judging by the quality of the screen itself, its probably pretty decent for what it is. final thoughts. for this price, 100% happy with the purchase.

> 3 dayI’m used to working with a dual monitor setup at home and at the office. So when traveling, working off my 14” laptop monitor as the only monitor is almost painful. And working with spreadsheets is next to impossible. I decided to bite the bullet and get a portable monitor for the road and am so glad I did! Even though this only has 15.8” of real estate, it’s sharp enough to display about the same amount of information as on my 27” at home, just at a smaller magnification. So I feel like I’m functioning at about the same level of efficiency. Some features I like about this monitor are: 1. it fits in the same backpack as my laptop, and is so thin and light that it doesn’t really feel like I’m carrying extra weight. 2. it comes with all the necessary cables for virtually any laptop made in the last 10-15 years. My laptop is older so I had to use the mini HDMI to HDMI cord, and then use the power cord (which is just a usb cord plugged into the supplied wall charger; super lightweight). If you have a newer laptop, you can connect and power it at the same time with the supplied usb-c cable. 3. build quality is great - I think the backing is aluminum and it comes with a built in cover / stand. I packed my backpack pretty tightly and had no worries about this getting bent or smushed. The stand works fine too, although it only has two grooves in the cover, so you’re essentially limited to two positions in landscape mode. The bottom of the monitor has rubber feet though, and they do seem to be able to keep the stand in other angles outside of the grooves. Now for the cons … not much negative for me to say! If I’m being nitpicky, the built in speakers are not so great -- my phone’s speakers are much better. But, not really that big a deal to me since I’m mainly using it for work. Also, the power cord is too short. To get around this, I also carry an extension cord. Alternatively, you can buy a longer usb-c to usb-a cord (suggest 6 feet or more length).
