Did not work for me.

Very bad program when it removes files you need. Cant even pull up some web sites that I have been using for a long time.

I consider this program to be MALWARE. It has corrupted my computer and registry. Their own tech support cannot remove this from my computer although some files were removed making the problem worse. It wont uninstall and infects everything. pdf files wont open and has disrupted my workflow. Tech support suggested that I purchase a 3rd party removal program and remove it from my registry bit by bit. Trust me, if you install this youll be sorry and never get rid of it. This piece of malware has caused me so many problems but it never forgets to pop up and ask for more money to extend your time in hell with this thing.

I just installed the latest upgrade to System Mechanic Pro.

I purchased System Mechanic for 24.95 as an annual subscription. The tool worked ok not great. The app itself is riddled with ways to get you to buy more services. Its annoying. The next month I received another 19.95 charges on my credit card. After struggling to figure out the correct number to call (I promise you they dont make it easy), I spoke to a very confused individual who informed me that when I signed up for System mechanic I also signed up for enhanced tech support at 19.95 a month (read the fine print). This is clearly a deceptive trade practice (I am complaining to the FTC). I immediately canceled all services and uninstalled System Mechanic.

Ive used this product almost since the first version. Back then it was the best of a few available all in one programs. It was relatively easy to use and gave some positive feedback after a task was completed. However, in the past few years it has gotten to be slow, bloated, and desperately monetized. Initially, it was just the constant attempt to get me to buy more time. Then it was the constant barrage of spam trying to get me to upgrade and buy more time. Then features that had been included stopped being included. One example is the duplicate file finder which never worked properly (which is probably why it was dropped); another is the driver monitor and downloader--which also never worked right. Now they are pushing to upgrade to their Ultimate Defense.

I purchased the product, because it was designed for Windows 10. It also offered a free POWERDESK, a $40 value. The latter was essential for managing files.

Dont buy it, it deletes all of your windows system restore points. You cannot undo the damage. Why anyone would sell a product that deletes restore points is beyond me.

Taking care of my computer is what I do and one of my former professor used this software and I thought he was crazy. I asked him you are training us on the most complex and integrate details of how an Operating System works. Why do you need this company to maintain your computer when you know we can do better ourselves because we know how a system operates as much as they would. He told me yes I can maintain my computer but how valuable is my time? If your spending an hour our so servicing your own computer thats time wasted from other things you can be doing. So I purchased this software and have been a customer for about 8 years now and found the best price on their new version at Amazon. Now when you are a customer at least in the past 5 years its cheaper to re-subscribe with the company after already having the software. Yes they bug you about new promotion to extend your time but after a while the software learns your not interested and you need to go to them when your ready. all in all its the most comprehensive amount of tools to protect and service your PC. Virus free for 5 years and some other measures I take as well like I tell my customers YouTube safe web surfing and their are great videos from colleagues of mine that are world recognized experts. The biggest reason they won 5 stars with me is the tools, the service, and customizable, as well as unlimited licenses for the entire household! You cant go wrong with a service that provides your family like mine with new PCs all the time and I can install this on all of them and mine is customized and controlled by me while my parents have it more on Auto pilot and I have peace of mind. Again I have learned as an IT expert that I cant keep up with every change and every update (with XP I could but I was a young and big headed then) This tool helps me utilize my time better and still lets me service my computer how I want to service it because only person I trust to maintain my computer is me and IOLO.
