> 24 hourThe concept I was told it would do is continually scan and pick up on adware, spam, etc. which it DID NOT! It ignored some stuff that I had to get a tech to clean out, ads were continually allowed to flash when I was doing something else. It didnt have clear enough instructions of installation for (63 yr. old) me. It did not fix anything that I can think of.

> 24 hourAfter a couple of months, Iolo notified me of updates. I had to uninstall, then re-install with updates. All but one function disappeared, and all others required me to purchase upgrades. I am unhappy.

> 24 hourI used the earlier versions of this software and it did a more or less OK job. However, when I upgraded to the Pro version, it simply didnt work, as in the program refused to run at all. The help desk didnt, simply suggesting more and more complicated methods of getting it to function, none of which made the slightest difference. When I eventually lost all patience with it and tried to get a refund, they happily told me that I couldnt, because more than 30 days had elapsed since purchase, despite the fact that the software is clearly not of merchantable quality. Im running a state of the art laptop, less than 1 year old, and I do know what Im doing, so if youre tempted to buy this, my advice is DONT.

> 24 hourThe fact remains that all SYSTEM MECHANIC does is consolidate functions already included in windows. Yes there are a few features but they really are not for the average user, and those that know how to use these features... do it a different way

> 24 hourHad used it in the best with good results but dropped it when I got a new computer back aways. Now that the then-new/now-old computer has gotten painfully slow, I paid for and downloaded System Mechanic-Pro. I couldn t get it to load, so called Tech Support and was told no problem, hook them up for remote access and that have me running faster in no time. Once he had taken over my computer, however, the support person started doing all sorts of things that I couldnt even follow on the screen and commenced to tell me about the other products that I needed. I asked him to ust get the program to do what IT was supposed to do, but, as my computer continued to go wild, threatened to terminate the call if I didnt buy the additional products. I hung up and, since my computer would no longer work at all, went to my wifes computer and requested a refund. I also complained directly to the manufacturer of the program and asked for some help getting the malicious System Mechanic-Pro off my computer. He suggested standard methods that Id already tried and said someone would get back to me to help me further. That hasnt happened yet, but I was able to go to a malware program and finally get rid of the mess that the support: guy made and to delete System Mechanic-Pro and at least the computer is running again. Slowly, but at least it is running.

> 24 hourLove the system mechanic program. Even when I upgraded to a new computer, I immediately installed it on my new system, which has run fast and flawlessly since. Keep up the good work, looking forward to new features all the time
