> 24 hourUpdate: I reached out to Klipsch support, after registering on the Jamo website. I figured that after almost a year, they wouldnt likely be helpful. I was wrong! They are shipping me replacements for each of the ones with issues, and a return label for the ones with bubbles showing. Very happy with the service. Original review: This set sounds great, I really like it. Set that center channel right under the TV, and use the receiver to crank the center a little higher than the other speakers, and you will have better dialogue on most movies. They are crisp and clear when loud, instead of thin and grating with the treble. The entire body is some kind of laminate. Most of my speakers have a TON of bubbling all over the body. It is really annoying that they all look so junky up close, because from further back (and up close when new) they look great. It was several months before the bubbles showed up, it was not right away. Im just under a year, right now. Going to try a warranty claim on them, and see what the company can do. Not sure if they will do anything, but its worth a shot.

> 24 hourPicked these up after reading so many good things. I didn’t want to spend a ton and this was perfect! Would buy again for sure.

> 24 hourIf youre even slightly interested, and if theyre still half off, just go for it, definitely worth every penny at $230 for the set. The only downside is that they do start to fall apart at high volumes, not the 803s quite so much but the center and especially the surrounds cant handle high spls or any bass at all. For a moderate surround setup its worth it and youre getting a really great pair of speakers in the 803s that are basically worth the $230 on their own. I hooked them up to my onkyo surround receiver and Im pretty impressed with them as a full set, but when I hooked up the 803s to my ps audio sprout 100, it definitely brought out some level of detail and soundstage that I just dont think should come from such a basic pair of speakers. I dont know if Ive even had a chance to fully break them in yet so I assume itll only get better too, good stuff.

> 24 hourThe only reason why I chose white was due to the fact that it was about half the cost of the other finishes. They are not very well constructed and sound quality is not the best. However, when paired with a good reciever (yamaha, denon, onkyo ect.) it can be a great first home theatre setup. When calibrated correctly and paired with the up firing Atmos speakers, the Jamo suprised me. These are solid. Reminds me of low end Klipsh book shelf speaker setup. Note: you may want to add sub for these lack the punch of low end most would want for movies and TV shows.

> 24 hourBasically no mid-range because they HAVE NO MIDRANGE drivers! Woofer and tweeter, thats what you get. So, what you have to do is cross them over at 80hz-100hz and run a sub. Now your woofers are mid-range. They sound okay, and great for the money - I dont think you can do better than this. Noticed the amplifier running much warmer when driving these. There is no way they are 8ohm - more like 6ohm and that would explain the heat. I think they are okay for a bedroom system, but Id be a little embarrassed to use these tiny things next to a 75 inch tv.

> 24 hourGreat sound quality. In fact, its better than I can percieve.. Beautiful piece of art as well. My only complaint is they missed the boat on the base. Its a picture of wood wrapped around something. Super lame. Over all this is what Ive been looking for and would have paid more for a real wood base.

> 24 hourBase is deep and rich. Highs are clear, but the kids are dull and muted. This is definitely a v shaped sound. Great 5.1 system for movies but you lose some dynamics listening to music. Overall, fantastic speakers for the money. Just wish there was a little more mid.

> 24 hourJust great. For the price and the sound you get is simply unbeatable. Replaced my nearly 15 year old bose cube 5.1 speakers and am loving these with no regret so far. Have a set up in my garage with a 12inch sub hanging from the middle. Have not even hooked up the center (pretty large) speaker yet and only running the 4 corners. They can Boom all on their own. Dialed in just enough highs-treble and should have replaced the bose cubes sooner. Just Buy These Already. Took two weeks but all good!

> 24 hourThese sound incredible. They sound just as good as they look. Probably the best bang for your buck you can get. Hard to find budget speakers that both look good an perform.

> 24 hourPoured over reviews and kept finding that pro-audiophiles kept slaming them, but the majority of regular people like them. Here is what I discovered about myself in the process. I definitely am not an audiophile. I wanted to be, but they like terms like flat frequency response and neutral. Guess what? Thats a boring speaker for most of us. They say it has a V curve. Guess what, thats how most of us used to make our equalizer look. Just cranking the treble and bass control (or knob) like a lot of us do, creates what?- a V curve. They just did it for us. If youre a genuine audiophile, you may not like these, but if youre not, as most of us arent, please understand that just because they dont like something, doesnt mean you wont because you probably have different tastes- and thats not a bad thing. As far as the speakers, they sound great and look good. Definitely need a sub (I bought 2 S808s at just over 100 each). I like bright sounding speakers because in a home theater setup, it helps to hear nauances in the sound track (i.e. crickets chirping, wind and rain, etc.) which helps to bring me more into the content. Also, the audiophiles were correct in saying these have wide soundstage, which were noticbly better than any of my previous speakers. For the sale price, these were an amazing deal for what you get. They were good with music as well. Hear is an easy test to see if you like flat and neutral speakers or not. If you have a good AV reciever (or you can audition at a friends or a store) with a good set of audiophile speakers- set the reviever to something like pure direct or equivelant where the reciever shuts off any sound processing and tone controls. If youre not impressed and prefer the music with the processing and tone controls back on, then you dont want neutral sounding speakers.
