18-04-2025Ive waited a couple of months to write this review because I wanted to give the machine some time to have an issue (if it was going to...) so far so good! I have an at home studio where I run my handmade business. It is typical for me to spend 4-6 hours each day, M - Sa sewing. This machine has performed beautifully! I prefer a mechanical machine to a computerized one, so keep that in mind when reading this review. PROS: *Automatic Threader *On Board Bobbin Winder (that actually works well!) *Horizontal Spool with Cap feature is awesome... thread unwinds smoothly *Additional Vertical Spool Pin (so you dont have to un-thread your machine to wind a new bobbin) *ALL THE FEED DOGS!! There are so many that you can almost let go and your project will stay on track! *On board Stitch Selector Guide with presser feet recommendations *Easy on/off Presser feet lever. Switch those babies out in a flash! No more screwing them on & off each time (My prior machine was 20 years old, so this was a nice upgrade for me) *The walking foot attachment... this one is great for multiple layer projects. Keeps it all lined up and moving smoothly *Its relatively quiet *Drop in Bobbin w/clear window helps to know when the bobbin is getting close to empty. No more running out of bobbin thread at a crucial point in my projects! (I havent used my seam ripper NEARLY as often... this one was huge for me) *Weighted Nicely. This machine doesnt jump around when you put your pedal to the medal... smooth. *Beautiful Zig Zag Stitches with a nice range of stitch widths & needle positions CONS: *Resetting after a Zig Zag stitch requires that, not only you move the stitch selector, but also you have move the Needle position slider all the way to the right (O) Symbol and then back to wherever you need it next. Otherwise, it just keeps on Zagging. I thought this was weird... but I am getting more used to it. *LED light could be brighter... but I use an additional light on the work table, so it works out. All in all, this is a great machine. it is requiring the normal amount of needle changes (about every 8 hours or so) and preventative maintenance (Dusting, oil, etc...) nothing out of the ordinary or tedious. It came with a nice variety of attachments & tools for maintenance. I am very happy with this purchase, would recommend!

> 3 dayI was stuck on Singer, but for less money I got my dream machine. Quiet, strong and easy to control. I make bags and purses and have fewer problems sewing through many layers now.

> 3 dayIt is easy to mess up when winding the bobbin and end up with a loose, unusable bobbin when wound. The solution to this problem is to wind from the upright additional spool pin (pointy white plastic thing) which goes in the square hole under the top lid, and route the thread through the back thread guide with the screw on top, NOT the front thread guide. It may be necessary to use a little screwdriver (included) to tighten the thread guide so the bobbin is wound with more tension on the thread, so it winds tight and not loose. When putting the filled bobbin in the machine, be sure to have the thread running COUNTERCLOCKWISE, then pull the thread in the opposite direction and route it through the two little notches on the front of the bobbin holder. There is an arrow pointing to the left, which references that, NOT the whole bobbin direction. I found that arrow confusing and put the bobbin in wrong until I finally figured it out.

> 3 dayLove my Janome HD3000 - Used to make leather purses. Wish I could use on thicker leather - I have to shave the edges before sewing. But I still love the machine!!!!

> 3 dayGreat machine. Sews through heavy denim. This was a gift for my daughter and I have one like it. Tough and long lasting machine. She really likes it .

> 3 daycould not move the width/length buttons. the knob to change the stitch fell off the second I moved it and the machine made an awful clunking sound every time I changed the stitch. definitely not right. the side panel that opens up also didn’t line up correctly so it couldn’t close completely. i’m absolutely amazed this is almost $500 (and how did this pass inspection??) I was super excited for a high end machine that would be better than my brother and this had such good reviews but i’m very disappointed. it all around felt cheaply made. returned the same day:( guess i’ll be paying $1000 for a juki

> 3 dayAfter getting knee deep in this Art Form, I was looking for a Machine that is a bit more sturdier and Heavy Duty than the Singer I started working with. The Singer is a great beginners Machine and will always have her on hand. During my research, I was checking out all of the brands, reviews and specs. I had talked with Sewing Machine Tech and during discussion, we had talked about the Jenome brand and that I liked of what I seen. He stated that I would not be disappointed with any Jenome Machine. I have about 6 to 7 hours on her and, I am so impressed ! The Bobbin Winder is smooth as a Babys Behind. Very quiet yet very Powerful. I would Highly Recommend this Machine for anyone getting into this Art ! I am just getting started here !

> 3 dayI just received this machine two hours ago. Read directions wound a bobbin and threaded machine. It is only sewing in reverse. Its Sunday and I wanted to use it. I just bought cheap brother for my nephew. It sewed fine. I wanted a heavy duty machine. My 1950s singer was acting up.
