Janome HD 3000 BE Black Edition with Exclusive Bonus Bundle

Disclaimer: This was purchased as a Thanksgiving gift to my wife, a veteran quilter - I wrote the review based on her observations and ratings. The Janome machine is made in Canada. It is a heavy duty unit, suitable for daily use. Yet, being mechanical (no internal computer) it is less likely to require frequent maintenance. A carrying case and special bundle of accessories were included in the price ~ a good value, compared to other researched machines. Since operation was totally different than her old sewing machine, my wife really appreciated the complete and well written instruction manual, including step by step procedures, with clear diagrams and drawings (exception: threader unit - last item in review). The machine runs quietly, fabric feeds very steadily, with almost no vibration. The unit came with many extras, including a box of quilting accessories and a sturdy integral carrying case. The bobbin case is clear, making it easy to judge thread use. Reverse button is handy, effective, and easy to use. Pressure foot attachment is a metal bar, making it easier to change and much more secure than plastics on other machines. This Janome unit offers eighteen different stitches. Selection is easy. Results are uniform and reliable. Accessory storage box is on the front of the machine, and slides off easily ~ i.e. when sewing pantlegs, etc. My wifes only negative comment was The needle threader sure seems nifty, but Im darned if I can figure how to use it. I used this machine to make new cushions and covers for my outdoor chairs. It was just what I needed. Now using it to make face masks. Easy to use.

This seems a great machine so far. Sews through motorcycle gear. Not computerized (Yay!). This machine is heavy but not fully metal, like I was hoping. There’s a lot of plastic involved. Bonus pack is pretty awesome. (PS - Love the black, but it shows every fingerprint.)

Oh I love this machine. It’s just perfect for me. I have others but this one is my favorite. It’s so easy to use. And very reasonably priced. There are so many to choose from and purchasing a machine can be mind boggling. This one does all I need. I love the black.

Sometimes automatic threader takes a few times and the door has to be lifted to shut it after threading otherwise it’s a good machine

Great machine. Sews through heavy denim. This was a gift for my daughter and I have one like it. Tough and long lasting machine. She really likes it .

This machine is for sure heavy duty! I am impressed with the consistent stitch. My company Janeyandnell.com makes handmade handbags. I consistently switch from cloth to leather stitching in one project. This machine will not skip a stitch or loose the stitch quality sewing from thin material to 4 layers of soft leather! I keep my thread tension slightly above 4 for consistent tight stitch. I also use universal thread for continued use with all materials. I do not need a thicker thread for leather because of the machine quality. The value for this machine is amazing! Lots of extra feet and gadgets to sew all your products or hobbies. I have a Juki for additional stitching and embroidery. Honestly use this machine more for the quality of a consistent stitch. I also rarely have to change needles. I Have used the same universal needle that came with the machine for multiple projects and thickness of material. I highly recommend this machine for all cloth and leather/purse quality projects. It is a work horse for sure!

I really love this sewing machine. It makes perfect stitches every time I sew. Top and lower stitches are perfect. Ive only had it for a day now and I see why so many people love this machine. I believe I will get many years of good sewing with this machine!

one of the plastic item was missing. i found out when i was assembling these together. i bought this to mainly stitch leather, i hope the review is as promising as it seems.

I prefer a no-frills mechanical machine for my fabric crafts. It can handle 8 layers of fabric plus batting without complaining
