JJ Electronics Amplifier Tube (T-6V6-S-JJ-MP)

There might be better tubes for your application, but for the money, and the increase in audio quality from stock tubes, JJs are hard to beat. I replace all the stock, cheap tubes (in new amplifiers I acquire) with JJs. I have yet to find one that is not better than the cheap tubes I replace. After I make this swap, I can take my time sorting through other brands (and other tubes in some instances) finding the right match for each amp. Sometimes, the JJs are the best fit. Either way, they all sound better than cheap stock tubes. This is geared toward less expensive, mass production guitar amplifiers. NOT boutique, or some of the better, lesser mass produced amps (Egnater). I recommend them.

Purchased for a VHT Special 12/20 head, and very pleased with the results. These tubes really opened up the sound, and generally you can hear/feel the extra punch now. I was looking to increase clarity/articulation, as this amp is known to be a little dark with some configs. While not as helpful as my EQ pedal, these tubes did, IMO, improve the overall quality of the tone. If I could A/B tubes easily, Ive absolutely no doubt in my mind these are superior to the stock tubes.

I got these tubes to help lower the power and take some of the bass response out of my hot rod deville. They worked like a charm. Very tough tubes and I can get good power tube distortion at large gig appropriate levels. Still a very loud amp though. These tubes are great they simultaneously tamed my deville and made it sound tougher.

I got confused if I had ordered a pair or a single tube. Called the seller. They were very helpful. This is a matched pair as indicated by the MP. Used them to replace the 6L6s in a Fender Hot Rod Deluxe. They work and sound great!

As said by other reviewers these sound much richer than the OEM tubes in my VHT amp. Thanks to these tubes I actually love to hear the sounds coming from that amplifier
