Excellent heat protection

You cannot see the mat very well in the picture but it gives a good representation of the size. I have tested this mat by putting my soldering iron on it and the heat resistance is great! It is so nice having a place to put all of my screws, batteries, iron, and screwdrivers. It cleans really easily too! I just use some rubbing alcohol and an old toothbrush or some soap and water on a wash cloth.

Very nice mat to work on. One end is curled up and lifts off the desk. No amount of weight, counter folding or time seems to fix it. Not a deal breaker.

So I bought this mat to use as a base for working on electronic circuits, like soldering PCBs and repairing Notebooks. After the first use, I removed it from the wood table and it made the typical electrostatic crackling sound. To check it I rubbed my forearme on it once and my arms hairs stood up, so clearly this mat is not antistatic, which is the first and most important spec such a mat needs to accomplish.

So far it has not lain flat. The corners are still curled up been about 4 days. Other than that, I have not used the mat. No contrast on any printing on the mat so will highlight appropriately.

I highly recommend this product. I do not regret the purchase whatsoever. BUT, buyers should know that the small lidded part containers on the upper left portion of the mat will pop open if the mat flexes at all. I noticed it did that prior to using it, and STILL ended up having some small screws flung to the ground. So, I cut the kids off and all is well. Purchase without hesitation! Just know that the little lidded section (that really serves no purpose whatsoever being covered that I’d encounter) doesn’t do much of anything.

Size is excellent for working on cb and ham radios . Large non skid surface . Protection for the table . Very good product
