It seems that these pieces would help to keep my chinchillas cool. So far they are not setting on them much. However, I will leave them in their cages. They will probably get adjusted to them.

I bought this hoping it would wear my rats claws down a bit if it was placed at the base of a ladder, but it didnt. As for its function - to have a cool surface for your animal to lay, it works! Its a thin piece of granite.

i recently bought two chin-chillers for my chinchillas, and am so happy i did!! although it has not yet reached the warmer months since i bought the product, i have not needed to put it in the fridge or freezer and it has remained cold, so i dont know if im supposed to. the chinches love them, and i often see them taking naps and snoozing on them!! my two chinchillas will sometimes sit side-by-side on one chin-chiller, but if they are going to stretch out or sleep it is really only big enough for one at a time. but no problem, i bought two!!

My chins are obsessed with this cooling stone. I bought 2 for my 3 chins. They LOVE sleeping and laying on these stones, it cools them down during this hot summer. As you can see, my chins sleep peacefully on the stones :) Im so happy. It is a MUST to cool your chins down during the summer because them chins cant stand the heat. When overheating occurrs, it can lead to death. So please, keep your chins cool down if you live in a hot weather state like me!
