This is really great solder! I was struggling to get some audio connectors to wet with cheap store brand solder, experimenting with all sorts of fluxes and tips trying to get it to work...as it turned out, all I really needed was some quality solder. The gauge is much smaller than I expected, probably could have saved a few bucks and gone with the .030, but it works great. You cant beat Kester.

Got tired of the Chinese solder I kept buying, so I bought this. Its flawlessly shiny, and the smell reminded me of how soldier should smell, just like dads old rosin core Kester. But yeah, avoid the Chinese crap. Good solder isnt even much more expensive.

I use this solder when working on small micro-electronic components. Recommend

The solder was fine but it was wound improperly on the spool. As a result, the solder wire had to be cut because it kept getting stuck (tangled) in the spool. Never had this problem with other spools of solder that I had prior to this one. As a result, the entire spool was wasted.
