Kester 24-6337-8800 50 Activated Rosin Cored Wire Solder Roll, 245 No-Clean, 63/37 Alloy, 0.031 Diameter

Sadly it is not. The solder I purchased at Radio Shack in 1995 is far better. This stuff clings to the iron more than the PCB. Regretting this purchase.

This solder here is the ONLY solder I use. Never had an issue with any types of connections!

If youre like me, you might think youre a noob at soldering. Again and again, I lift pads, make dull joints, and just overall have a crappy, frustrating time doing soldering jobs. Then I took a long hard look at the tools I was using... my iron was fine, a Hakko FX-888D. Probably the best in the business, for a casual home solderer. Next is the solder itself... Lead-free rosin core. Hmmm, could this be the problem? After getting this 63-37 leaded solder, I can most definitively say: yes, lead-free IS the problem. Love the lead. Live the lead. After finishing up a soldering job for the balance plug of a 2S Lipo (FPV quads, if anyone was interested), I looked at the joint and I was wowed at such a good job I did. Or rather, such a good job the leaded solder did. Shiny, flawless, just perfect. Live the lead! Lose the lead-free!

A little bit higher melting point than I wanted. Nonetheless a good solder.

Es la relación estaño plomo que tiene el punto de fusión más bajo, para soldar componentes delicados sin dañar los circuitos impresos o flexibles. Viene en un envase de cartón, no muy sólido, que es bueno conservar, para evitar el contacto con la piel, pues contiene plomo. El flux lo tiene internamente y fluye muy bien, es mi marca preferida, sin duda.

Awesome product. I have worked with Kester my entire professional life as electromechanical engineer 35+ years and this company never lets me down. This is a new item I used and I love it the flow rate is so quick the components being soldered do not even have a chance to get to warm to handle at least for me. The joints look better than mechanical hot flow machines that mass produce pcbs and other items. Always a shiny well even flow no gaps the pads on the boards do not get hot to remove the glue so they stay in place. I soldered some really grody nasty joints on things today and the core worked great cleaning the area so solder flowed evenly and smoothly. Once again KESTER ou knocked it out of the park I will always buy this product and the company that I purchased it from well I had it the next day I think maybe day after I ordered it but that was awesomely quick KUDOS to you. You have my business from now on. I made on a personal level some SMD RGB 5050, 0603, 2835 LEDS to hook up wire 30 Gauge and this solder was the bomb the leds did not even get to warm to touch I took it out of the clip soon as I soldered the common wire flow rate is awesome on new products not to bad on rework either. GREAT JOB.....
