> 24 hourI completed a full replacement of the interior of my 86 K20. Once I had everything out of the cab, I cleaned the painted floor and put these squares down. I did not get meticulous and cover every single square inch of the cab floor but definitely got 99% of it just to the back wall of the cab. This box was more than enough and I still have about 1/3 or more of the box left. I went from a rubber mat to new carpet on top of this stuff and there is a noticeable difference in the sound level. Hard to say how much is from this and how much is from the carpet itself but the interior is much more comfortable now.

> 24 hourThis was really great quality insulation - stripped my car to the frame (removed trim and chairs etc) and adhered it to the frame itself. Easy to cut the pieces down to size with a simple box cutter (though will get gunked up over time with the black stuff inside). Put it down, kinda use a flat surface thingy (I used an old name tag from work) and then went over it with my hands (the heat from your hands helps). Now my car is clean, quiet and warm in this cold front were all having. Highly recommend if youre looking to quiet your car from outside or engine noises (Id say a good 20-30% decrease from before I did this). Very happy with how it turned out.

> 24 hourUsed these to settle down the vibration on my hood, trunk lid, etc. after I changed my OEM engine mounts to less squishy custom mounts. Highly recommend.

> 24 hourWorked great! No smell! Excellent adhesion! Wear gloves! Bu where is it now? I do not see it available anymore. I want to order more but can’t.

> 24 hourWorked pretty well for quieting my car down. It’s easy to cut to size and to apply, and I didn’t notice any smell. Id say I went for about 60% coverage and ended up using about 1.5 of the 3 boxes I ordered.

> 24 hourBefore purchasing, I researched several manufacturers of Sound Deadening material. I drive a truck with off-road tires and enjoy quality sound from my radio without road noise interference. All of the leading manufacturers of sound deadening material use butyl rubber in various thicknesses. I bought the .80 ml thickness from Kilmat because of the positive reviews and the price. I installed the Kilmat material in all four doors and on the back firewall. While I don’t have a decibel meter to provide firm data, the decrease in road and tire noise after installation was noticeable and, in fact, I would say surprising and significant. I definitely enjoy driving on the highway more in a quiet vehicle. My guess is that it decreased road noise level by 30% or perhaps more. The key is to buy enough material to line the “inside” metal skin of your “outer” door as shown in the photos. In summary, the purchase was well worth the effort and cost.

> 24 hourMy truck is just about as noisey as they come, while I wasnt jumping for joy to do the actual job of installing these, ill tell ya - pretty big difference. After the install i remember my first drive thinking whats wrong with my truck? it sounds... weird - what was weird was that it was quiet! Installing these is a labor of love. Find a nice fair weather day, some shade and put on some tunes and just get it done, if your car is noisy this is your solution. It goes on easy and has so far (1 year+) held up great, I have had to remove my door panels to install new mirrors and took a peek inside and its all held up the same as the day I put it on. I ended up doing nearly my whole SUV, interior, firewall, all 4 doors, the back bed/trunk. Made a huge difference, would do it all over again if I had to. 5/5

> 24 hourThe sheets make easy work of applying the material in tight spaces and even cutting pieces to fit odd shapes. I used about 4-5 sheets per door for my Ram 3500 Mega cab. Upon opening the door cavity, there was two tiny sheets of OEM soundproofing on the rear doors and NONE on the front doors. I applied the sheets in as large a piece as possible. I used a heat gun to warm the door and the material. Adhesion is excellent and I used a mini roller to push the material flat onto the door panel. I also used a torpedo level that had a rounded plastic tip to push the material flat in hard to get to places. Id say I covered 99 percent of the door with 4-5 sheets. I also put some of it on each interior door panel around the speaker grill and near the molded armrests. the door panels went from a gong like sounds to a confident dead knock. the door also closes with a definitive thud sound. over all the product is excellent and affordable. I wouldnt hesitate to get another package to place more around the car as I build the system.
